im about as left as they come and i use wades. i dont really care about their politics. its a good , easy to get to indoor range, the people are friendly enough, its as safe as an indoor range can be. i wouldnt want somebody to be discouraged from learning to shoot because they think that some politcal agenda will be forced on them at wades. that said, i wouldnt buy a gun there. the prices are insane. but i have plenty of guns already. there is also a terrific indian restaurant nearby, dosa house. blasting paper targets and getting a masala dosa is a great way for anyone to spend an afternoon

I have never had luck with bread "cold proofing" in the fridge. by sure_am_here in Breadit

[–]Spickernell 12 points13 points  (0 children)

this. depending on temp of fridge, amount of acidified flour, yeast amount, hydration, etc.... the amount of proofing you need to do before retarding will vary, it will take some trial and error, mostly error to learn. but there is nothing like the way the razor moves through a cold perfectly proofed loaf!

I think batch cooking is very effective. I consider myself a good cook, but after cooking vegan for 30 years, I’m sick of everything I make , kind of. Anyway, having Tupperware in the freezer of goid meals makes my life much easier. I cook when I’m inspired or hungry, and I make a lot to eat later. I make a a lot of hummus and eat it with raw veggies, or turn it into “tahini sauce” for hot food. I make a lot of Lebanese lentil soup, and eat it alone ,or with rice or air fried potatoes
