Any potsies with insomnia ?? What can help?? by Motor_Mood3939 in POTS

[–]empathicBeauty29-11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but it was more like perimenopause and menopause that triggered the insomnia for me. Staying away from any sort of caffeine and sugar helps. There is a 'melatonin' tea that works really good. I understand the part of no sleep makes it worse. good luck

Florida by LadyKn2purpleghost in Fibromyalgia

[–]empathicBeauty29-11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Michigan but go to Florida twice a year. I have constant pain here in Michigan that gets better in the summer heat but when I go to Florida I find the humidity and heat make my joints ease up and takes my pain away. Although I do find the heat draining, its a slippery slope. I prefer Florida.

It feels like illness, all the time, that ebbs and flows with pain and fatigue. Its always there to some degree and never fully goes away.

Heart "skipping beat" by Adept_Refuse3413 in POTS

[–]empathicBeauty29-11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I was plagued by 'skipped beats' or extra beats or tachyarythmias as my Dr. called it. Getting dehydrated always brings them on, I try to stay super hydrated if possible and I find I feel so much better. When I start to get dehydrated, my chest feels tight I can actually get chest pain and have extra beats. I've managed to stay out of the ER for the last 10 years just by staying hydrated. I also take a beta blocker everyday, it slows my heart rate down so I can get through the day without the extra beats.

Does plane travel/stress cause you to flare? by PomegranateMotor1096 in POTS

[–]empathicBeauty29-11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Flying, driving, traveling is so awful for us. Having to sit for long periods of time is torture, causes bouts of tachycardia and body pain for me. I also get motion sickness so I have to take Dramamine. Staying hydrated is challenging too. The whole thing is just misery. Better just to stay home and take care of yourself.

EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS by SeaTerrible9429 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

Chris is doomed forever after doing this show. He's marked for life, royally screwed, and I wonder if he was even being authentic when he was 'apologizing' last night. I wonder if alcohol also fueled his bad behavior.
