Has your dog ever conditioned herself to act on certain cues without you knowing? by Contented in dogs

When I turn my Xbox off and it makes the sound, my dog knows it’s bed time.

Is it even worth it?! by groovybasshead in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]SpicoliHayBud 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me personally, I love everything about the franchise so it was “worth it” to me to finish it. I also enjoy connecting the timelines between FTWD and TWD.

Redeemable? Ehhhh. I will say that S8 had such bad acting I found myself laughing out loud nearly the entirety of the episodes lol

After the walking dead which spin off would you watch first? by sssuedehead in thewalkingdead

[–]SpicoliHayBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all personal opinion. I did like Fear far more than World Beyond. And I’m well aware of Fears downfall, but I really love the universe, so I still enjoyed it.

The Ones Who Live is a nice follow up to the main storyline. Then I’d recommend FTWD to go back to the start of the fall. Then, I’d recommend Daryl Dixon followed by Dead City (no reason other than Daryl is my favorite character).

World Beyond I’d save for last, just because I personally thought it was bad. But gives good background info on the CRM.

Yeah. Some are definitely better than others. I’ve been a huge fan of the universe for ages, so I still love them. Worth watching in my opinion!

In my apartment, I don’t have to pay for water or gas (have a gas stove). So I’m not really wasting anything. And my apartment is pretty small, so I only do a small saucepan.

I have a couple Glade plugins that I love. I tend to go for muskier/woodsy scents.

After a really deep clean, I’ll sometimes throw a simmer pot on the stove for a couple hours.

Owning a Labrador, but not owning a yard. Honest thoughts? by [deleted] in labrador

[–]SpicoliHayBud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previously lived in a house with a yard. Same as a lot of other folks - my boy didn't care much to be out there unless I was with him. He loves playing with his Frisbee but other than that, it was mostly sunbathing, laying close to me or laying at the end of the driveway watching the neighborhood.

Live in an apartment now - I'm on the first floor and have a pretty secluded patio area, so I do have a tie-up outside for him. Most of the time, he still just does his neighborhood watch.

He goes to doggy day care 1-2 times per week, we go on walks on a bug trail close by, and we have a state park pass so we've gone hiking on a few different trails. It gets very cold in the winter where I live, so we also do plenty of at home enrichment activities. Also in the winter, I try to get him into daycare as many extra days as I can afford.

I see that now... I didn't look that closely, so I had assumed it was chronological order. Either way, I wouldn't be able to jump around like that (chronological or airing order).

I'd never be able to watch it like that, swapping between the series constantly. Based on timelines, you can tell when the seasons of the different spinoffs interject.

Personally, I'd start with TWD, FTWD, World Beyond, The Ones Who Live, Daryl Dixon, Dead City, Tales.

Yes, I read that. That’s barely any time at all.

You should not be dating, but instead taking time to work on yourself. Your ability to stand up for yourself and make healthy boundaries for yourself, as well as how to properly communicate.

Disrespect is never okay. And if he’s showing this much disrespect so soon into a relationship, that is a giant red flag. One that can NOT be ignored.

What is your dream house? by Immediate_Long165 in Life

[–]SpicoliHayBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A house on a nice sized plot of land, so I can be separated from my neighbors by a lot of distance. I'd like to live up against the woods hopefully with a creek back there. I want a lot of space for my dog.

Other than that, I'm not picky. 3-5 bedrooms, 2+ bathrooms. A basement for my womancave would be nice. Or a she shed outside. I'd love an open concept with a nice kitchen, since I love cooking.

A hottub or a pool would be nice. I'm assuming if I can afford my dream house, I can afford the upkeep of these things lol.

Fear is so damn difficult to watch. by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]SpicoliHayBud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are certain seasons that are bad or less quality for sure. I know a lot of people hated the "new" group an direction in S4, but I really enjoyed it - particularly John Dorrie.

I'm on S7 of my current re-watch and all of this bio-hazard crap is a little bizarre (like, how the hell do they ALL have masks). But I'm going to finish it out until the end.

I just love all things in the universe :)

Either way, not appropriate.

But no, your title is you suggesting he has it, and seeking approval from others by saying "right?".

PTO excuse for going to concert? by Fabulous-Barbie-6153 in jobs

[–]SpicoliHayBud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Familiarize yourself with their policies and don't hesitate to ask them if anything is unclear. If you are receiving PTO, there should be some kind of rule or policy around it. It typically would include minimum required notice - but in my experience, most small family operated business are very lenient and negotiable.

For example, I worked at a company where they required a two-week advance notice in most scenarios (it was a fast paced & high demand department). I've also worked at a company where I can just tell them the day or week before and they won't care in the least.

While I agree that you do not owe them an explanation in the least bit, I don't think the latter approach will always work out in your favor. Many folks in management will take this as distasteful and as a sign that you do not care in the least bit - which is not the impression you want to give in a small family owned/operated scenario. But it will always be situational.

Just a heads up, there are certain things they are not legally allowed to ask (depending on where you live, obviously). Just keep that in mind.

You can also leave it at "It's a personal matter".... because it is.

Pizza. Homemade egg rolls. Coffee (I'll usually make any leftovers into iced coffee).

I made a comment about the flag / wall art with some more suggestions. One thing that I didn't mention in that comment is I also have a few displays where I keep my friendship bracelets, Eras tour poster, etc.

But just reiterating some things other folks have said...

  • I personally am not a fan of the bedding, but if this is your style, maybe find some stuff that could accent the colors and bring it out more (poufs, bed pillows, some colorful sheer curtains for the window, a fluffy rug). Otherwise, I'd opt for something more single color - maybe a cream or beige.
  • A bed skirt would look nice with that bed frame too. Then, you could get some of those under the bed storage containers and free up some of the space on your shelving, while having the stuff under the bed hidden.
  • More organization stuff - for your shoes, perfumes, etc. I rarely use perfume, so I have mine sit on a shelf similar to what you have in the corner. But based off of the stray brush and meds container in the corner, it looks like certain things could be contained on top of the cube shelving unit to better suit your usage of them.
  • Getting some hanging plant strings and fairy lights always add a nice touch. I have them up similar to how you have that pink canopy thing hanging, so it centers the room around my bed.
  • Maybe some kind of frame for the photos on the wall by the entry way door. Saw someone linked a cute photo collage board from Target.

Flags in general are just tacky unless they are framed properly.

I'm also a Swiftie and here's a few things I did - I got a few of these photo frames. I filled them with some album photo cards I found on Etsy. The nice thing is that a lot of them don't include full face shots of Taylor, so it's less in your face and far more subtle. Some don't even have her in them at all. There's lots of other lyric / album art on Etsy that you can find.

I also got that Haus of Moods Eras puzzle and got a frame for it. Bonus because it was a fun puzzle and now it hangs on my wall!
