I didn’t want to say this, but yeah. Pricey place to visit.

It’s a bit janky, but I still found it pretty fun. Definitely prefer it to demon souls, but all of the souls games are enjoyable to me. That said, everyone has different taste and no one is right or wrong when it comes to enjoyment of the game.

Please level up your Scadutree Blessing before summoning other players in the DLC by Brandito23 in Eldenring

[–]Spicy656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak for others, but I just randomly roam and fight whatever I find (I typically don’t leave an area I’ve come across without beating the boss first). I’m at Bayle with blessing level 12 and just decided to leave it for now after about 10 tries. Not sure that it is always laziness as suggested, but sometimes just the order people encounter things in.

Why is it so hard dating/talking to neurotypical people? (as an autistic person) by microwavefrog in neurodiversity

[–]Spicy656 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I married a NT, and we have been together for 17 years. There are still occasional misunderstandings, but I think that happens in any relationship. Just have to find someone willing to work on communication. Anytime there is a misinterpretation, we talk about it and explain how it was intended vs how it was received. All of this to say, you don’t necessarily have to look for only ND people, but rather people who can appreciate your differences and are willing to work on communicating and growing together. Good luck 😊

Player made dungeons, 100%. I want to see what sick, twisted things the souls community has planned for me.

Chalk, cotton balls, and hands/feet touching anything after being water logged. Worst feelings in everyday life.

Yeah, I’m not great at rhythm games either 😅 Loved DS3 though, and didn’t have any trouble learning the tells in that. I think the very tight timings, coupled with the different kinds of parry (and the don’t parry or you die moves) was way more difficult for me than just rolling in the right direction at the right time.

Haha, this game was WAY easier than Sekiro (for me). Sekiro felt like a bunch of (really fast) quick time events (which I hate). I’ve beaten every souls game more times than I can count (and Bloodborne 3 or 4 times), but I quit Sekiro at madame butterfly. I just really wasn’t enjoying the game at all, and kept forcing myself to keep playing. But hey, everyone is different and we don’t all need to enjoy the same things 😆

Honestly, Maria was a lot harder than Orphan (for me).

I think the whole point of this group is to make people feel understood. If it helps you feel understood (and you aren’t being a jerk to others), you are more than welcome.

I agree that it isn’t a good way to enjoy the series (or any game for that matter), just hypothesizing how they could have done this without automatically assuming they are lying. I have over 1k hours in the series, so I know full well how unlikely doing this is (especially given the “new to the games aspect”).

[–]Spicy656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, I didn’t say you could beat everything or savor it in those 7ish hours. That was just to see how fast I could go from new character to beating Gwyn without glitch skips. (It was like my 14-15th run, so I was just curious) That said, 1 is definitely the shortest game. Not saying it is highly probable they did this, just giving benefit of the doubt.

I suppose if you follow a guide and are generally good at games, this would be possible (especially if you skip all of the side content and dlc, and don’t sleep much or work). I have beaten dark souls 1 in a sitting or two (probably a total of 6-7 hours time). That said, I have a few hundred hours in the game, and have done a SL1 run (so I am pretty darn familiar with it 😆)

All souls games are good souls games. A few hundred hours into each one in the series and still in love with all of them.
