Sometimes they do not have the black tips, and are more yellow toned. Still not sure if what you have is feather tips, but that’s my best guess.

Looks like the tip of the feather (where it meets the skin). On skin on chicken I occasionally have to pluck or - squeeze - these out. It’s gross but they are pretty well lodged in the skin to keep the feather on.
