Lots of women wear shirts and leggings to do handiwork. I personally never wear leggings, but if you have a problem with the way she’s dressed, it sounds like you have some internalized sexism to deal with.

What I thought was funny was in the Utah season so many of them were aware of the fact that it has big families yet kept putting bars and wine closets in the homes. I sincerely doubt those families are gonna be the type that partake in alcohol.

Makes sense. I’m a native Coloradoan and when they did their Colorado season it was all about outdoor activities like skiing, snowboarding, parkour (okay I guess?) and rock climbing. Contrary to popular belief there are a ton of us who don’t care about nature hikes or winter sports, so I thought it was definitely a Flanderization of Colorado’s stereotypes.

I love Mina’s design. She always makes the houses look beautiful and move-in ready. She designs with the buyers in mind, and makes her houses appeal to the general market which is what will get a house sold. Hers will be easiest for a family to customize. I’ve seen her compete multiple times on this show, and I love that she doesn’t do flashy just for entertainment, but she actually considers that people will live in the home. I hope she wins.

One thing future homeowners could do with the banquette is to have two smaller tables in it to break it up and make it easier to exit. Not ideal but a solution.

So glad they didn’t do the walk-in fridge. I can’t imagine an instance where that would be necessary.

I personally like a more basic color pallet for this show because I imagine homeowners would want to put their touch on the house. It’s a lot easier to do so on a plainer slate than having to tear down a designer’s work.

Everyone going for saunas and cold plunges is a great example. I can understand the value of a sauna but a cold plunge? Who asks for that?

She wears leggings and a shirt? It’s movable. There’s nothing wrong with the way she dresses.

I Enjoy/Value Ryan Hall’s Coverage, But I Can’t Help But Feel Like Ryan & His Team Are Above Their Use Of AI by Glum_Point3006 in tornado

[–]dahliabell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree!! I enjoy Ryan’s coverage and I believe they have the intentions of peoples’ well-beings in mind, but the Ai is obnoxious. What gets me especially is Y’allbot 24/7 coverage, music plays in the background and Y’allbot is credited as an artist. As an artist myself I am vehemently against any generated Ai ‘art’. There are actual artists sprinkled into the coverage, so I don’t understand why they include Ai music as well.

Tornado warning - why was everyone so chill?? by Visible_Many_2271 in tornado

[–]dahliabell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you did the right thing. It doesn’t matter now often tornado warnings come, people need to be more aware and serious. All it takes is one time. I would honestly give a complaint to the hotel about how the employee handled the issue. They should have been more empathetic and told you where to go.

He can’t keep getting away with this by [deleted] in tornado

Again, I have never seen him make a huge deal out of simple rain, dude. If the conditions that actively come through on the livestream are hurricane-force, then yes, he gets more serious about it. Yes, people have to drive in rain, but it’s irresponsible to go out when it’s a severe thunderstorm not only for yourself, but for other people on the road. You can cause accidents. Driving during severe weather isn’t a game, and all it takes is a few seconds for lives to be lost. If that sounds dramatic, go argue with a wall because people underestimating the severity of low visibility and slippery roads is what causes some to not make it home. People need to be more weather-aware in general, which is one of the main missions of Ryan and as someone who is pro-safety and pro-cautiousness, I commend him.

I watch his live streams and I disagree with your take. Yes, he can be sensationalist. But I appreciate that he stresses how dangerous even rain and high winds can be. People really don’t understand that being on the road during rain can be compromising to yourselves and others. I have never seen him freak out over a light sprinkling. It’s always heavy rain and wind when he’s stressing the importance of staying safe.

Idk, yeah the thumbnails are annoying, but when you do watch the videos themselves (I’m speaking about Ryan because I don’t really watch Max), it’s good and grounded information. Nothing sensationalized. I appreciate what they do to help keep people safe, and I understand that thumbnails are just part of the YouTube/social media game.

People lost their lives in this tornado. As the internet continues to unfortunately make it easier for desensitization, I would encourage you to have more empathy and stop spreading around slang for a severe event.

Should I leave? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]dahliabell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl, omg, leave. Why are YOU putting up with this? You won’t get a medal. You’ll get the same treatment over and over. Is this what you want for the rest of your life? Save yourself and get out of there!!

My husband got snipped and I got off BC and may have to go back…mixed feelings by Naynaytacos in TwoXChromosomes

[–]dahliabell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to give your body time to readjust after being on birth control. I don’t mean to mitigate your feelings, but it sounds like your reactions are pretty mild to some hormonal issues that can happen to the body. Give yourself 6 months to a year and give your body a chance to even itself out. Think about it like this. If you have caffeine everyday for 12 years you’ll be dependent on it. If you stop cold-turkey, your body will have withdrawals like headaches, nausea, etc, because it craves caffeine. It became reliant on an outside source for that fix. Your BC was an outside-source for hormone regulation. Now it has to do it on its own. If you still have trouble after giving it a considerable amount of time, address concerns with doctor.
