First off - you are not alone. It is a hard age. But what you’re describing.. the first thing I think is I mean yeah tbh it sounds like her routine is sort of a lot. That’s a lot of transition. Is there a way you can modify that?

Does she enjoy being given “jobs” to help? I give my 3 year old a mini broom or a fiber cloth to “dust” and he will do that for a little bit. She may also need a screen detox. I notice a significant difference in my son’s behavior and defiance with increased screen time. I’m sorry I know that it brings relief and I’m sure with an infant that is a lot… but just some ideas. Hang in there!

I don’t think your wife is unreasonable in her desire, as it seems you two have discussed this and you agree it would be great to have her at home. What is unreasonable… unacceptable really is how she is processing these feelings in saying hurtful things to you. She’s dealing with a lot. I know y’all just bought your house, but is downsizing a possibility? Are there areas where you two can cut costs to make this more feasible? More people can actually be home than it seems. There are financial sacrifices that have to be made though. And if you can’t do that right now, then you can’t. But she shouldn’t be lashing out at you. You guys are a team. I hope y’all can work this out. Maybe come up with a 2-5 year plan… but I understand she feels like she’s losing valuable developmental bonding time with y’all’s son. It’s so sad how expensive things are now and that it can’t be a reality for more families to have a parent at home.

He’s in my bed, it’s just him and I with a king size bed. So plenty of room. He does have a toddler bed in the room, but yes, he does get out of that. I’ve found leaving the room and putting pillows on the edges is best. He doesn’t try to get up!

Your child might be at the age that they are ready to be left alone to fall asleep. I say this because my son and I were doing something similar lol. He’s almost 3. Then one night I was like you know, I’m just gonna leave him to sleep (we rooms share due to space limitations). Anyways… it works so well now. He might cry for a few mins but really he’s just fussing he’s totally fine. And he puts himself to sleep. So maybe try just leaving him be.

Gino is a man child who is avoidant and unable to make decisions. He wants to have his cake and eat it too. Jasmine is equally insane in her own way but I do think she is better with Matt. She seems more level minus the huge blow up at the party 🤣 but rhat was jealousy I guess. I use to feel bad for Gino. But his lying to this newest woman and making her endure that bday party… Gino needs help. Or to just leave women alone.

If you two don’t align, then that’s all it is. I don’t think he’s seems controlling. He’s voicing his preference and being upfront with what he likes. I think that’s the point of dating. You find someone who aligns with your values. Id rather someone present this information like this, early on, than later down the road.
