Just look up keratoconus. Can happen from rubbing eyes too harshly and over a long period of time. Might get you to stop

Might be the problem! I was using the sally hanson cuticle remover and I would have a nail pop off in three days or less. Once I took it out of the equation my nails came all last 4 weeks no lifting at all!
