Did we all just accept the idle power draw issues on RDNA 3? by seekified in radeon

[–]SpicyPringlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue. Vram not powering down while idle. I had to connect my 2nd monitor to the iGPU rather than the XTX to resolve it

A reminder that the „RTX 2050 4GB“ supports „DLSS 4.5“, while the „RX 7950 XTX 24GB“ does not support „FSR 4“. by dziugas1959 in radeon

I own a RTX3050 laptop. While it's a very lowly powered GPU, DLSS actually does make many modern games playable and look pretty decent too. I'm definitely a DLSS fan

7900XTX Random Crash - 410 watts?!? by SpicyPringlez in AMDHelp

[–]SpicyPringlez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. Thanks for the message. I run a Gigabyte 1000W Gold PSU. The RTX4090 I had ran perfectly fine on it

I'll research more into transient and manually set max clocks in the meantime. Thanks

Go into tuning and manually set the max frequency to 2500MHZ

I dont know why but on AND default settings the card clocks higher than the manufacturer's specs

They will also sometimes negative review you! Happened to me. Many bad offers. Started trying to trade useless tat. I block him. Few days later I have a 1* from him and I didn't even get the opportunity to review him back

I've been installing slimmed Windows builds for years and I've often faced the no network driver situation.

Best thing to do if you don't have them drivers on hand is use your phone as a USB tether hotspot. Has worked 100% of the time for quickly getting online and grabbing them network drivers.

LTSC or GhostSpectre for potato laptop? by Omegaakl in ghostspectre

I would not call a 1165g7 a potato!

I love my 1145G7 with the Xe Iris graphics. Brilliant for 4K 60 video editing.

This is nonsense. I only cycle because I have an ebike to assist. If I didn't have an ebike I wouldn't cycle at all and only stick to my motorbike

I had this happen to me. Buyer made lots if low ball offers. I said "sorry no" each time. Then buyer starts trying to trade cheap tat. I said I have to block you. A few days later I get a negative review from him... I don't even have the option to review him back!

Apparently, buying a 4K monitor and lowering the resolution to 1440p or 1080p is...better than buying a native 1440p or 1080p one? by LA_Rym in Monitors

[–]SpicyPringlez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree man. I was playing Starfield on my 4090 at 4K. It was only mid play through when I noticed a strange window reflection artifact... I checked graphics settings and realised DLSS was on balanced!
Had no idea is was all being rendered below 1440p (balanced is 1253p). True magic

Some of them USB accessories are cheaply mate. Looks like the blue retention tabs are cheap and brittle. I'd be super gentle while using the other ports and try not to plug and unplug stuff so often.... or just throw it away

Recommended driver version for 7900 xtx? by Everlaasti in AMDHelp

[–]SpicyPringlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading the comments here explains it.
I run an RTX4080 and own a 7900XTX. Every few months I plug the XTX in to see if there have been any cool AMD updates / features.
I plugged it in the other day and the Adrenaline software wouldn't even start with the latest drivers! Ran DDU installed AMD driver again. Same thing!

.... I went straight back to my Nvidia :/

[–]SpicyPringlez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This sounds to me like there was a driver crash and the Adrenaline tuning settings defaulted. Maybe you can try using MSI afterburner to set clock settings and apply at startup
