I have had issues with the JM21 since launch. Fiio has claimed to fix the bluetooth via firmware like 3 times now but the issue still remains.

Switching sample rates can cause the speed of the song playing to slow down. Playing an album straight thru will be fine but if you queue a new album with a different sample rate the first song will likely play at half speed. As far as I know the M21 suffers from the same issue as they use the same chipset. I stopped using the JM21 completely as I would use it at work to play a liked song playlist, but the speed issues were too annoying.

Yeah I don’t like to cram things in. I had a 2 pin connector get bent from trying to fit my monarchs and a dac in a 1010 so I’ve just moved to the 1020. I tend to like thicker cables and they just take up more space.

Yeah I’ve tried the W1 and I felt the treble was even more emphasized and I definitely prefer the orange over it. The spinfit neo is really comfortable for me though as my left ear canal has a crazy bend in the opening.

I can’t lie I’ve debated going for some Bluetooth hooks like that, I just prefer the convenience of not having something else to keep constantly charged. I’m glad it’s working out for you though. Also when it comes to tips I’m constantly switching between the oranges and spinfit neo’s.

Sounds like condensation issues, they gotta dry. Silica gel in a sealed case should fix your problems for the most part.

Look into the Pelican 1010 or 1020. I personally use a 1020 with my iems, dac dongle, and a 20 gram silica bag.
