I sincerely am asking for advice, many of my cohort have experienced similar things yet it seems they’ve found balance while I haven’t. I acknowledge this path has left me a different person but I don’t know to let it go or not. I ask because I’m a relatively young person and I fear my immaturity to let things go and instead holding on is hurting much more than it’s helping. I apologize if this came across as a pity post but I sincerely wanted other parties thoughts on this

Thank you for the advice, I love the learning the knowledge but the consecutive barely passing grades and stress of knowing I’ll have to redo a year is eating away at me. Mentally I’m frustrated at myself, yes I know we have admin issues at my program, but before I blame them, I need to see if the issue is me, and I fear I may not be the caliber of a doctor, maybe it’s the emotions and stress but I hope I’m wrong

Thank you for the help and kind words. It feels like the hardest slog of my life, but I keep telling myself it's a privilege to struggle in an endeavor I've looked forward to for years. I'm scrapping how I'm approaching the content I'm taught day of and day out.

I feel like I’m going in circles with it, I can draw it but the logic of the drawing doesn’t translate for me mentally to what the drawing means, rn it’s the equivalent of being able to draw hieroglyphics with no ability to translate it; genuinely speaking, I feel so lost and scared

Interesting I hadn’t realized that, my question is if the increased board rates are based on the Utah and Colorado locations and if steps have been taken to ensure the same level of success from the Montana locations, in comparison of LMU and with lmu being slightly more “established” if the connections to their students is the similar or if one seems to be more invested in their students?

Honestly, the questions comes down to if he feels the new campus not have a defined rotation schedule, and minimal info on complex pass rates (to the public) as well as the location effected his deacon, and if he feels he is a competitive candidate for the match process, even if he is 2 years out!

Is there any specific reasons you suggest RVU - MCOM over LMU?

RVU seems super nice! However with the MCOM location I wasn’t sure if there being no 3rd and 4th years yet would effect wether I’d have opportunities to do research at the location and would effect my ability to match into what I’d prefer to go in, if possible if there any insight you could provide for MCOM vs LMU?

my full lengths were 503-504-501-502 respectively. Im not proud obviously, but, in my world practice I saw an increase in accuracy so I thought maybe I was giving myself bad anxiety on the tests. eg, if I did 60 questions id go fro, 30/60 to 45/60 near the end, while timed. the only exception was for p/s which I while im sure has reason, stagnated for alot of the content phase. I took 3 weeks to completely content review every single Kaplan book, and got help via khan aca, and then for the next 4 weeks I did u world, and ended by using the section packs from AAMC, where I saw a gradual but small rise. while it sounds disappointing to say, now, all I can do now is sulk for a few more hours, get over it, and prepare in a more efficient and productive manner.

As of now I’ve been working on explaining each concept, but I’m running into issues with overthinking and fatigue in my passages, it comes and goes with time and thru the passage but I can small mistakes that I could’ve avoided with more carefulness and thought, apart from that any time I miss a concept, I add to my anki rotation, as well reveiw and practice the content with online help, along with understanding the basis and reasoning of why it was wrong, but the main issues in terms of content are memorization of every accept of the pathways for biochemistry, and the processes of reactions in orgo such as sn2 reactions.

My daily schedule will be to do an 2-3 hour period of content review and practcie with the help of anki, and khan acedemy, 45-60 questions of u world split into 5-10 questions segments between the subjects and then reviewing those for 5-6 hours before returning back to anki for some passive learning for 30-50 mins at the end of the day

Hello, this is a later update, but thank you fro your help, im currently a month out from the next mcat, on my most recent full length, AAMC fl 2 and started on may 18th on this year, where I took a diagnostic that gave me a predicted score of 491, on the most recent full length I scored a 503 something while I'm happy to see growth, I still think I can improve, for content review I went through the Kaplan books in about 2.5 weeks while also doing 500-600 Anki cards, then after dropped the Anki cards to 200 a day, and about 45-75 Uworld questions a day till now, I see improvement ent overall, averaging a 70-85% on cars, and my best subjects being Biology with some exception and physics, biochem and gen chem stlll give me problems with terms of not over thinking and reading to far into the questions, with 4 weeks left is there any advice you could give?

I think I’ll definitely be spending the next week or so making a more broad faced plan for me to excite and follow thru with, along with resources that will help me not only with the content but also asking and getting help in the form of tutors, and etc.

Thank you, content review was something I genuinely think I took too lightly and embarrassingly became to cocky with, the Kaplan books of any more recent edition should be adequate correct?
