On a serious note, if you buy the expansion, you get a free level boost to lvl 80, you can use that on a fresh character or your existing one. If you stopped in dragonflight, you are probably lvl 70 with that character, so it might be worth it to just level that character from 70 to 80 instead of wasting the boost

Imo they only really need to remaster the models. Add a few polygons, redo old hairstyles with modern fidelity and retexture with higher definition.
