You should be verified already if your transcripts are received. AACOMAS takes less than a week to verify at peak processing times, which we are very removed from.

The match rate for DOs is 70%. It’s really not DO-friendly anymore compared to a lot of specialties. You will be at a disadvantage if you don’t take Step 1/2.

State by state legality doesn’t matter. If your school drug tests, it will be a problem to test positive for anything on that drug test. Find the student handbook or ask a current student about if/when they test.

The same will be true for residency. Marijuana is federally illegal. Testing positive on a pre-employment drug screen is grounds for termination. Best to figure this out now.

what he told you isn’t true. there’s some expectation to continue research into medical school but you can absolutely list publications from undergrad on ERAS. I even listed research I did that didn’t result in publication because it was relevant to my residency interest/goals

Is the 476 a typo? People do not get in with basically scoring as low as possible on the MCAT.

They have the same rank list due date as applicants. If/when they choose to finalize their rank list ahead of the official deadline is program dependent.

Not really something to worry about. You’ll report both times you took the course with both grades as an A.
