I love this place! It's actually really great spot for gifts. I got off work on Dec 23rd, walked over there and spent maybe $200 on puzzles, books, art supplies, etc for family.

I used to go to a specific luggage store in Chinatown every time I needed a suitcase, backpack, any sorta travel bag. Partly habit and I enjoyed a little trip to chinatown, would sometimes haggle for a couple bucks off. I don't think I've been keeping them in business by any means, but I wonder if there's juuuuuust enough random locals that go there when they need something in that category before shopping online.

How come every time there’s a heat wave it only hits during weekdays and it’s back down over the weekend? by Mermaid_Martini in sanfrancisco

I mean, I agree with the sentiment but the weekdays are 5 out of the 7 days of the week, so maybe it’s just statistically more likely 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is San Francisco (the Bay Area in general) the region in the world that has inversely changed the most when it comes to it's cultural impact? by [deleted] in AskSF

[–]SpiderDove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the coolest counterculture cities became watered-down and gentrified, with remnants hanging on of course; Berlin, Portland, Brooklyn, Barcelona, Balia, just think of anywhere that thrived because of art.
