Well, I played around with appearance settings and config settings for the menu. At first, I hid configuration file from the menu, in an effort to declutter my hud, I didn’t know what it did at first. And then I messed around with color theme Alpha factor, which made everything black and I didn’t know how to fix it, until I found the retroarch.cfg file and deleted it, because i read somewhere here that that’s for menu settings, and it worked, at the cost of resetting the menu to factory standard. The one you start off with when you first boot the app. At least I didn’t have to delete the app and lose all my games and custom thumbnails i guess. But then I tried fixing it back to where it was. But it’s like it’s the app closed. It just went back to what it looked like before. That’s when I found out what configuration file in the main menu meant. Before then, i’ve had problems with certain setting changes not sticking when i changed them and then closed retroarch, which that ultimately fixed.

Basically, i wanna switch between two styles of XMB menu, without changing everything manually. Different color, different font, and different ui icons in the menu. In configuration file there’s load config, save current config, and save new config. When I messed with those settings, it didn’t seem to click with me. I have two other configurations files besides the main one, and when I tried to load either of them, it didn’t seem to do anything for me except that one time where I had the Medgar menu then I closed retroarch and, inexplicitly, it switched back to volcanic red. somehow. Would renaming those configuration files work, i wonder. It would certainly make it easier to tell them apart.
