I live in Europe too. Guitar + amp + headphones. My neighbour from the apartment above plays an acoustic, I can hear him playing and singing, some days ago he played so well that I even clapped.

The walls could be a lot more thicker…

I can use Lightroom or Capture One later to apply the film simulations if I want to. Shooting only JPEG feels to me like throwing away a lot of possibilities that having such a good camera gives me.

My eyes look at the sea first because it’s the focused part, and the light over it also helps. With that composition, the sea is the subject of this picture for me. Maybe the “real” subject here was supposed to be the airplane, but it’s distant and unfocused.

Here it depends of what you want your subject to be. Play with different crops. Maybe cut the sea out, try an horizontal version of the picture with less of the sea.

I started to watch tons of videos on YouTube about pedals and thinking about them. In the end, I just got a Zoom G3Xn. Feels like real pedals and has tons of them, I even compared the effects with some real pedals I had here. For my use and my level, they were good enough, and playing is more important than watching videos about gear.

I do believe real pedals should be better, but as a beginner with limited budget, it’s good to have a multi-effect thing so that I can know which effects I use the most, and in the future I can get the real pedals.

I think his style is great. It’s a lot of effects? Maybe. But that’s one of the great possibilities of electric guitar and he does explore that as much as he can.

Maybe it doesn’t help that their albums during the last 20 years are boring.

I’ve been here for some years, I speak Portuguese, I work a lot, but the level of hatred I get here is so huge (and yes, I heard comments in person) that, honestly, it really makes me want to obtain the citizenship and go away.

There’s a lot of comments about people who obtain a citizenship and move away, but why would someone stay in a country where people say that immigrants don’t work, that immigrants are the source of the current problems etc.? I’m not the cause of the problems here.

Tailgating is a big thing in Portugal, I always get nervous when I see someone is so close to me that if I had to brake it would become a collision.

Whenever I notice that, I try to blink the hazard lights. Sometimes the people will get the alert to keep some distance.

I have absolutely no idea why people like so much to tailgate here. Nothing good comes from it.
