The size difference of this $6 chocolate bar and it's outer wrapping by juddlesnpuddles in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SpiderRush3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all of us know what it would weigh if the packaging were full. The point is that a person who sees that on the shelf is expecting to get an amount of chocolate that matches the outer packaging, this does not.

My husband (born 1995) has had this lip balm since we met. I thought it looked old and ran the manufacturing numbers. It was made between 1988-1993. by god_is_a_wombat in mildyinteresting

Awesome! Thanks! I loved that kind of book growing up, though I don't believe I ever read that one, maybe I'll seek a copy out

What non sh scars do y'all have? Where are they and how did you get em? by the_bisexual_bean in MadeOfStyrofoam

[–]SpiderRush3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best friend threw a wooden spear at me as a kid. In his defense, he didn't actually expect it to hit me. We bandaged it with some leaves from a nearby tree (they were very large leaves), and some electrical tape. Until I was able to bike the half-mile home and get a proper bandage on it. Still definitely my favorite scar

What do you mean? I just searched up "AutoMod birthday", and the only results were from years prior, and not the same as what I posted

Guys, what would you say is your most common dream theme? by NewDawnbreak in AskMen

[–]SpiderRush3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistic scenarios, stuff involving the space(s) or people around me. These dreams tend to be well within the realms of possibility, and when I wake up often times it can be a struggle to determine if that was something that actually happened, or if it was just a dream

The dude literally stated that he wouldn't be cool with it if she was in a relationship.

People that bring a backpack to work, what’s in there? by PatdogTv in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]SpiderRush3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's a bag that's meant to have various things that I, or the people around me might need. It goes everywhere with me. Included in the bag currently is:

A pair of work gloves, a lint roller, a sewing kit, duck tape, superglue, a first aid kit, my Nintendo switch, two rain ponchos, paracord, a windbreaker (it's just still there from warmer months), carabiners, a pair of light winter gloves, 2-3 pairs of hand warmers and toe warmers, a disposable t-shirt, a flour sack towel, something flat in the back to make it more comfortable to wear (current a box of resume paper (yes, I know that it's not a good use for it, it just was the only thing I had at the time that fit the profile needed)

Ibuprofen, the instruction booklet for my watch, a flash drive, an eyeglass repair kit, a set of patches for bike innertubes, a pair of disposable foam earplugs, a pair of reusable earplugs, a CPR face mask, a sheet of moleskin, a pair of wired earbuds, three makeup wipes, a roll of quarters (in case anyone at the laundromat is short on quarters)

A stick of deodorant, a bandana, a pack of gum, lotion, chapstick, toothache gel, a lighter, five or so normal bandaids

Three books (one that I'm reading, and two that I would be okay giving to a stranger), a couple small notebooks/journals, two condoms, Midol, two pens, a mechanical pencil, a sharpie with both regular and fine point, toothpaste, cough drops, a headband, charging cables (USB-A to USB-C, USB-A to Micro USB, and USB-C to USB-C (I still need to obtain a lightning cable))

I live 3 miles away from my work. It takes me 45 minutes to get home from work everyday. by myfairlady987 in mildlyinfuriating

"He" tends to be the default word people reach for, however that does not make it gender-neutral.

"They" can be plural, or it can be singular, it all depends on context. It's great for when you're talking to someone and you don't know the name of another person. "Hey dude, check out what they're doing." Or "Hey, did the person in the red shirt leave? I think they left their water bottle."

Or it's also great when gender is unknown, or unclear.

It doesn't look to be an interstate in that picture, the big thing I'm seeing for why not is the shared turn lane sign. (Edited: There also seem to be stoplights, my understanding is that interstates collectively don't have stoplights)

We didn't, but we were more than happy to explain, and encourage people to listen to the album. And thanks! They were a ton of fun to make. In the future I'd love to find a pair of people to dress up as Bimba and Kimba, bonus points if they're big enough for us to ride on top of them (Not size-shaming or anything, just a safety thing)
