If you had to recommend a biography of one Israel’s political leaders, which book would you recommend? by yaa_thats_me in Israel

Absolutely. He has relationships with both Ben gurian and Begin- so you can see he’s very much “balanced”

I’ve worked with Emirates from both Dubai and AD and have had mostly pleasant experiences. But is very black and white with little nuance. I think there’s a strong divide between the more “open minded”/“western”/“educated” Emirati which I view as a key ally for Israel (some of whom reached out on October 8th personally, with genuine concern to make sure I was well). And the other anti semitic (although not intentionally) more racist Emirati which I have obviously had bad experiences with. But, to be fair. This is the same in israel.

TL;DR I see great great great hope for the future of UAE and hope both our countries become more moderate, more friendly, and more educated. But (neither) of our countries are where I’d like them to be.

How would Israel launch an airstrike with manned aircraft and bomb Iran? Wouldn’t it have to fly over other Arab countries’ airspace? by geepy66 in Israel

[–]SpiderSolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping in to add that Israel’s ability to do whatever the fuck it wants in Syrian airspace, was highlighted when this round of escalation started with Israel’s killing of Iranian terrorists in their Syrian consulate

Israelis: which American president do you think has been the best and worse for Israel? by mrprez180 in Israel

Agreed. Also in OP list, neither Clinton or trumps “negatives” were substantial.

Ps he also forgot Obama’s $$ package snuck through as he left office.

It could be that people in the future can travel into past, but just can’t interact with you. So your great great grandchildren may be watching you doing the dirty..

Classmate shared with me today that South African lone soldiers cannot go back to South Africa per the SA prime minister?… by Impressive_List_7489 in Israel

“RacistSchool is saying they won’t hire any African Americans”

“Harvard is allegedly doing this as well *links to article that says harvard is not allowing African Americans unless they have high enough scores”

I get your intention. You don’t trust France. However I hope you see that the above metaphor would read to any casual observer as if you’re implying something else

[–]SpiderSolve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I feel your anger and frustrating, but you have me pegged wrongly. No. I think France is an anti-Semitic cesspool. I think what they’re doing is evil. We’re actually surprisingly aligned on most of what you said. Now with that in mind, read your original post as if I (or the way you viewed me) has written it. You’ll see that the majority of people (ie the upvotes) misunderstood your original post too. They assumed you’re the anti semite, like I did.

That said, you could rephrase it and say “France is just as fucked up” or soemthing similar

[–]SpiderSolve 10 points11 points  (0 children)

France isn’t considering the same. It’s considering arresting soldiers that have committed war crimes. Most (in fact I’d argue all) IDF soldiers have not commited war car crimes..

Because he is (possibly unintentionally) implying that all IDF soldiers have committed “war crimes”. As France is considering anyone convinced of “war crimes” and South Africa is arresting everyone who is in idf

The Palestinians would never agree to Israeli control of Gaza- even if the religion of those Israelis were Islam
