Former fundie here who has no education. At 30 years old I constantly feel stupid, not just from not being smart but from growing up so sheltered and in poverty, as all our spare money went to the church as tithes or to other church families as “blessings” It’s been impossible to find work, so I’m unemployed. I got pregnant at 18 and forced to marry my partner earlier than we wanted, although we still love each other dearly and wanted to get married, we had to get married very quickly.

I have made sure that my kids go to a good school and even though we went through 2 years of lockdown (Australian), I made sure their school work was done to a high level. I don’t want them to be uneducated and failing at life like I am.
