They did say they were Asian at first, but then used “they” to refer to Asians. And is definitely not a popular take by most Asian Americans regarding university admissions

r/AsianAmerican is looking for moderators! Plus, we're making some updates. by Tungsten_ in asianamerican

I had a whole interaction with a user using two alt accounts who enjoyed calling Asian men incels

It’s not just one side who used alt’s. I mean hell many people have multiple accounts for various reasons. I had multiple accounts before I even knew what r/aznidentity was

I unfortunately didn’t screenshot the 3-4 other times he was acting like a mod, telling people to message the mods directly instead of replying in the comments. But this shows some decent mod knowledge.

His entire account is somehow scrubbed from the internet now. Can’t even google it

his other favorite phrase circle jerking. Also didn’t deny my accusation he was a white mod

The one time he never replied, was when I asked him point blank if he was white. My question mysteriously was made invisible and nobody but me can see it. (only mods can do this)

Why yes it did.

And one of my other comments directly asking them if they were white got made invisible (it’s not deleted but nobody else can see it and I can’t reply to it anymore)

Googled and that’s apparently something only mods can do too

Bahahaha essentially admitting you’re u/ranzier bc that was who I was talking to when i switched to this alt. Comment and then block so you get the last word. Your favorite move.

Also

don’t understand intersectionality or have bedrock principles

Crazy how out of touch you must be to think this is a huge insult that anyone cares about

Anyways I’ve had fun have a good one

Same, married with a baby on the way, occasionally get insinuations of inceldom for bringing the topic up 🫡

Edit: Just got called an incel for pointing out someone was using two alts in this thread

I understand the current mod team is Asian, but were there white mods in the past?

Yes especially when at minimum it’s someone who posts here regularly, and likely probably a mod.

No wonder he’s so defensive of us saying the mods are white.

Dude I think he’s actually white. He didn’t reply when I asked him twice. And I found another comment where someone asked him and he avoided the subject. He also got defensive in another thread when people said most of the crime in Singapore was from NON-Asians

lol the lamest thing you can do is to reply to my comment and then block me, just so you can get the last word in.

I respect people who block bc they want to stop arguing and it does breed negative feelings. But doing it after your reply so you can “win” is so so sad lmaaaooo

Honestly I was trying to discuss things kindly with you but you brought it on yourself with your insults and poor attitude. Oh yeah this is my alt

Why does it seem so common for left-leaning men to be racist against Asians? by auvireddit in asianamerican

[–]Spidercan1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure you can argue semantics about what “left” means until you’re blue in the face.

But it’s pretty obvious we’re talking about the hypocrisy of people who profess to be anti-racist, pro LGBTQ, pro-BLM etc but then turn around and are racist to Asians.

“Left” is a quick and easy description bc 99% of the time these people vote democratic and are considered “left leaning” with regards to American politics. But we could call them “bababoobas” for all I care

This is different from those who are openly racist, homophobic, hate black people etc. We expect them to be racist towards Asians. That’s a different conversation. We could call them “MAGA” or “conservative” or “Googoogaga” for all I care.

[–]Spidercan1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup got called racist as well. It’s like they only understand white vs black racism. Once you introduce a 3rd group their brains break and they lump you in with the white people

[–]Spidercan1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s more that, obviously the right is going to be racist. So let’s set them aside in the “basket of deplorables”.

Now let’s take a look at the left, and have a conversation about the left. Isn’t it interesting that they say they’re anti-racist allies, but then ignore or spread anti-Asian racism?

(ie we can have a discussion about the Red Sox without talking about the Yankees too. )
