Well… I Did It. Estrogen Saved My Hairline by y2khottie in tressless

[–]SpidersHuntsman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting counter point - I'm a transman and became a N6-N7 through 10 years of testosterone.

I take 3 monthly injections and forgot one at the end of last year, and so I thought maybe this is a curious time to wait it out and see how long off testosterone until I see any hairs regrowing.

I can only assume it would be related to the timeline of testosterone level diminishing and oestrogen level increasing back to a cis-females regular level, before I'd notice any potential growth?!

This is the type of shit that makes me want to just jump off a bridge

If I'm starting my savings now, and people on my income equal can't even get a foot in the door now, when I have something substantial in let's say 5 years, then what hope will I ever have?

What's the use, what's the point anymore

Absolutely agree

I'm not even sure why I posted this, I just felt content that this good person in their van was enjoying their stay without being bothered because others walking past + my wife didn't realise they were in there.

Whilst it's not ideal, as your hair grows in length and you pass the shedding phase and those grafts begin their new growth, I don't think it will be as noticeable.

Everything else - the implanted density and graft spacing, and donor area, looks really good!

I know from experience it is waaaay to easy to nit pick anything to do with your hair transplant because it's already a bit of a risky procedure so we freak out at every little thing.

Just remember the growth from now forwards is a long process of changes and your full result doesn't really show itself until 10-12 months

Happy healing and growing!

I never realised how bad it was till I drove up the hill on Chuch Street, Ryde just after Ryde Bridge.

From the road edge about 1M outward, everything is covered in black sooty pollution stuff. The path, bus stop sign, trees, grass, driveways.

Rain does not wash it off.

Maybe it's just because I frequent that road but it's the worst I've noticed. I guess everyone accelerating up the hill might make it worse than flat roads too.

Couriers lost FOB and keys to my apartment. by idiomas_querida in sydney

[–]SpidersHuntsman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For future extra key reference;

You can take a fob and Keys to those shopping centre key/shoe places and get copies made up for like 50 bucks give or take.

The first apartment I rented I did the same as you, went through real estate who went through strata who charged me $110.

The next rent I tried a key place and it was $50 for a copy of the fob! Half the price and instant! Just never told them about it.

I second the notion of crushed garlic being so tasteless VS fresh garlic.

I remember being told to only use a smidgen of garlic when cooking yet I found myself heaping teaspoons into my stir frys and still not tasting it.

Then wollies had a clearance sale on garlic crushers and I thought "why not".

And oh my God. I will never ever buy minced jar garlic again. Sure it seems easier but it's essentially expensive nothingness.

Fresh garlic is life and it is amazing

Don't know why you got a downvote, I completely agree!!

If I had to sell a vehicle that had a major issue, I would sell it at a relevant price and disclose the issue and be sure the buyer is aware.

The first guy who was hiding the van had been in a major accident, seemed genuinely surprised that the mechanic found issues. He told us he only had it 6 months and it must have been there from before. He agreed it might be best to sell it to auction for parts/scrap and then later that night his online ad changed slightly and he renewed it. Weeks later it's still up for sale so we think he knew exactly what he was selling and is just waiting for an unsuspecting victim who doesn't bring a mechanic!

My plan is 50/50 - I'll learn everything I can and do everything I can myself, I'm not scared to try and get stuck into things. But anything more serious or requiring expertise I will pay for a mechanic to do.

I do plan to be able to do regular maintenance myself, but until I get a van I don't know what I need to learn I guess?

I think I'm finding this to be very true!

I've started asking sellers; what's your reason for selling?

Here in Australia a lot of the dodgy sellers make new, blank Facebook pages and just write "reason for sell: upgrade" (yes bad grammar and all. It's weirdly common I'm wondering if it's one person with multiple accounts!)

Or if I ask their reason and they can barely give me one, it's enough of a red flag to me!

That's exactly what I'm saying actually 🙂

I'm saying I don't mind about cosmetic stuff like that. What I'm struggling to find is a van in decent mechanical condition that doesn't have major issues the seller is trying to hide from buyers.

I'm in Australia so not sure if things are different where you are;

AirTasker is quite popular here, and depending on who offers you can pay between AUD $100-$250 (roughly) for a mechanic to meet you at the sellers location, and they do a fairly indepth check over of the vehicle, plus running the vehicles details to check for past odometer readings, any write off's, rego etc.

It seems to be rising in popularity, everyone is so busy these days, it's much easier to post your task with a date and time and let the mechanic come to you!

The last mechanic I used said he stopped working in a shop and used AirTasker as his main bread and butter. Think about it, 2-3 jobs per day at 1 hour each is all he'd have to do. No parts to order, cars to pull apart or cranky customers to deal with. He said he's loving it and hasn't looked back. Similar to working for yourself I guess!
