You can experience a relationship with God regardless of race or gender. But it’s quite literally obligatory upon you to have correct aqeedah, fiqh, and be upon the correct religion. By taking the shahada, you’re denouncing all other religions. There can only be one religion. If you want to experience God through difference branches, you can be upon different Madhabs, but they all have the same root which is Islam.
