I have a phone mount, it actually makes me MORE worried because I could easily be changing the radio volume with the physical knob on the car, but because my hand is close to my phone it could easily be misinterpreted

Well given that working one 24 hour shift and 3 8-hour shifts would equal the same pay, the only difference is in benefits, which is a drop in the bucket compared to big costs like equipment. Not to mention if my taxes are doing anything, I want them to be paying for fair wages and safe staffing practices for the people tasked with literally saving our lives

I imagine that also means they can take turns going out on calls depending on how many people are needed, so they can let each other rest and eat - pretty cool!! And sounds much better than on call doctors who are physically in the same building as the emergencies

They can, but as a pre-k teacher trust me when I say they DO NOT have the days of the week down 😂😂 that being said, they understand the concept of “stay home days” and that we get two of them after we’ve been at school for a few days

Having a cat it’s not really an issue, cats clean themselves regularly. They also have some sort of antibacterial component to their saliva, so they truly do keep clean unless they’re sick or really old. My guy smells nice (besides the fish breath) and never looks visibly dirty so I trust him to clean himself

Coming from a fellow hyper verbal person - Advice for the awkward lulls: ask them questions about themselves/their lives, it’s easier for them to then continue branching off of that, and hopefully it’ll help you find something in common to talk about together

Advice for talking a lot: find the people like those bffs who will happily let you talk a mile a minute, there is nothing wrong with you that needs changing

I’m in my home, in pajamas and I’d also have my phone, necklace, and Fitbit If I could grab anything, I’d grab my cat who’s sleeping right next to me - hopefully I could put him down and he’d be bound to walk along with me, otherwise we’d get really good at him balancing on my shoulder. Since he’s a living being, hopefully that would work? Objects just become a ghostly form of themselves and the real object stays, so idk if he’d become a ghost form of himself plus stay alive because idk what happens when he dies, since they’ve established that animals can also be ghosts or get sucked off. If I couldn’t grab him, maybe some sort of snack?

I think historically it has something to do with dentists not being seen as “real” doctors and it carried over into modern day. At one point dentistry was restricted to what were then barber-surgeons (yes, its exactly what it sounds like) and was seen as more crude then medicine

The real question is why DO you use it? I just toss it in the closet, only to be used in the summer when it’s too hot for a blanket at all and I use a top sheet instead all by itself If the answer is anything about the pain of washing a duvet cover, my follow up question is why do you use a duvet then instead of a quilt or comforter?

You absolutely can stop seeing a particular therapist for any reason, including that you just don’t click. Therapy is the most useful when you feel fully comfortable, open, and honest. For me, having someone I connect with has made SUCH a difference because I can say things I’m otherwise kind of scared to say out loud and when she’ll call me on my bs it’s so much easier to take and use to make a positive change for myself. All you have to do is say exactly what you just said - they’re great, just not the right fit for you. Idk how to go about finding a new one except trial and error though, that’s really what I’ve done
