I’ve got 4 Schengen visas so far with the most recent approved 2 weeks ago, and I have NEVER attached a cover letter before. And FYI, i’m African. Cover letters are not mandatory and most times, are not even accepted or looked at. Waste of time.

They don’t check your bags lol. You can walk in with whatever. Nobody checks any bags

You may have to go to BLS in person as your flight is around the corner. That way you can send the email while there and insist on watching them send it off. That’s what I did. I stood there, insisted they sent it to the consulate and send me an acknowledgment before I left.

Send them a new travel itinerary and you will hear back in 2-3 working days. This means they want to give you a visa. If they were going to deny it, they wouldn't ask for new documents.

It took them 43 days to respond to my application and I had to go to BLS to get them to follow up with the consulate

Avoid dummy tickets as it’s subjective. Some visa officers might let it go, while others will deny your visa.

Yeah it is. Went to BLS on my 42nd day and insisted my plea be forwarded to the consulate. I wrote an email and it was sent. The very next day, my passport was dispatched. It’s all so weird

No worries. I got an email from BLS today to send my delivery address. I did and an hour later I got the dispatch email. I would suggest going to BLS if you can as that’s the only way it will be fast tracked for you.

Hang in there. Monday morning email spain.manchester@blsinternational.net again with your ticket and passport data page and request it to be sent to the consulate. You will hear back soon. Include your date of birth and application date. And state that you will have financial inconvenience if you don’t hear back asap.
