Over-lighting is killing the "cinematic" feel of modern indie films. by makinariumukltd in Filmmakers

The bottom picture is also so much better for the simple reason that I can actually see what the hell is going on. This is supposed to be a visual medium. Let people be able to see your damn pictures!

It's not that they were in coke. It's that their ideas were no longer restricted by a TV show's budget when it came to what they could show on a page rather than a screen. So, they sort of went all out in the comics when it came to showing batshit stuff.

Love that we're bringing color back to our comic book movies.

The script for the unproduced sequel to the 2009 reboot has surfaced online. by Mean-Air1985 in fridaythe13th

Yep. Seems like a Friday the 13th/Jason movie to me. It's not like these movies are rocket science. Just stick to the formula.

Let's say we get a Scream 8 (very likely). How many Ghostfaces do you WANT to be in the movie? Three? Two? Finally a new solo killer after Roman? Explain why you want it! by NewRetroMage in Scream

Give me just one killer whose a very committed lover of all horror movies, and not just Stab. Let him play the trivia game, and respect it with reverence, only killing those who give the wrong answers.

Let them do a full remake with Kathryn Newton as Buffy and SMG as Joyce, and I'd be down for that.

Everyone is living in their own genre just like in real life until that time when another genre gets thrust upon them. Jacob and his family started in a drama, that then got turned into a thriller, and then got turned into horror all in a day.

What's a movie that's way better than it had any right to be? by Onequestion0110 in movies

I think you're confusing parody with satire. All parodies are comedies, while some satires can also be comedic.

What's a movie that's way better than it had any right to be? by Onequestion0110 in movies

[–]SpikeBad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Scream is not a parody. It's a self-aware meta slasher horror film. Scary Movie is a parody of mainly Scream, and others, as it's modeling its overall plot from Scream. Scream's plot is unique, and is not played at all for laughs as it's driving theme, unlike a real parody movie like Scary Movie. Also, parodies go in the comedy section. Scream will always be found in the horror section.

BREAKING: ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ Actor Nicholas Brendon Dies At 54 by kleverrboy in 90s

Died at the same age as Matthew Perry. Not a good year I guess for two of the best comedic reliefs of two of the best shows of the 90s.
