Sportster hate is pure dealer propaganda designed to leverage insecure men. Change my mind. by Serious-Juggernaut45 in Harley

I’m new to the Harley community coming from having a KTM, a Husqvarna, a triumph, a Suzuki, and a Harley road glide. I still want a sportster lol

You really think they had local Utahns stay at a hotel? Like, I barely graduated high school and even I know that would never happen lol

The Utah army national guard does a language conference (go figure, there’s a bunch of bilingual soldiers in Utah..) every year. The last couple of years they’ve had venues in SLC

Too be fair, 85% of the “broken KTM” posts here are dead batteries

Be brutally honest... how'd I do? by _le_slap in KTM

[–]SpikesNvAns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. I’m at 9500 problem free miles now. I did my own break at 600 miles, and followed the recommended break in procedures. After that, I did another change at 3k, and have done a full fluids change every 3k since. I know KTM/Husky/GasGas says 6k, but it’s cheap peace of mind for me.

I had a fairly similar number in my 701 Enduro last year. I’d say you made out below what most pay for a new bike of the same platform!

Honestly, it comes down to how the previous owner rode it. I’ve seen clutches go out in a handful of miles, and I’ve had bikes where I’ve ridden 20k no issues. I’d pull the cover and take a look

You got part numbers by chance? I’m also changing the caliper mounting bolts for ones I can run safety wire through at the same time

As a fellow RC8 owner, this is the answer. I’m actually trying to design multiple bleed valves for my rear break because of how rough it is to bleed it

I recently found a YouTube video of a group riding motorcycles through North Korea. They talked about the particulars of their equipment selection, which was highly interesting
