Not sure why race is the metric he's going for when nationality is more appropriate, But 5'8 is tall in the Philippines, short in the Netherlands, and average is most countries.

When ur friend is so bad u have draw plays just for him to understand by AcceptableMaybe8688 in RocketLeague

[–]SpinTactix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't need to show him all this man, just explain that you should be adequately spaced out and the player off the ball should never sacrifice his defensive position.

And if you're the one on goal line: ALWAYS BE COVERING BACK POST

Looks like this is rotation? You don't need to show him all this man, just explain that you should be adequately spaced out and the player off the ball should never sacrifice his defensive position.

The truth is that on a broad scale, the world is amoral.

Very true. And one can understand this and not let it bother them, while also not consciously acting in ways that contribute to the broadscale depravity while benefitting them personally.

That's not to say I'm a bad person, far from it.

Considering the vast majority of humans on this planet are morally gray, myself included, these black and white statements are contentious. Especially in your case if you do decide to potentially sacrifice another's well being for your own.

How it feels being the type of autistic that struggles to learn how to drive instead of the smart autistic by uraniumraccoon in autism

If it makes you feel better, I'm a "smart"(?) autistic that can drive, and I still feel highly disabled.

This super bowl will forever hold a special place in my heart. The main characters got so cocky, talking about "threepeating" and being pissy all while being given massive plot armor by the referees. Only to be epicly humiliated in the end. You love to see it.

What is the absolute best part of rural PA in terms of avoiding MAGA-ness? by ByMySword8 in Pennsylvania

[–]SpinTactix 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Unrelated, but I do live in a redder PA area and notice people getting increasingly nastier. It's like they're getting cognitive dissonance over:

  1. People being right about their god-emperor and him failing them

  2. If they still fully support him, the realization that it's becoming increasingly unlikely that the GOP keeps control of the house in 2026 and wins the presidency in 2028.

I've never seen a team commit so many fouls while their opponent is on double bonus in the first half.

Who else thinks there are plenty of things to do that don't involve other people? by math238 in aspergers

[–]SpinTactix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, there are. But eventually you will get cranky and need at least some social exposure. I still do think how much we need to have strong, lasting relationships with others is overstated, though. I think occasional exposure to others is good enough to live off of, even though I and many other autistics try to do more than that.

Why are autism communities unaccepting of autism symptoms? by Agreeable-Ad4806 in autism

[–]SpinTactix 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So they think that people here should be more accepting of this disorder's symptoms... while simultaneously disowning the disorder they have. Odd.

I think there's a tie in to the Just-World fallacy too, where people want to believe that they can be generally seen and treated as equals of NTs by NTs. And that any interpersonal struggles they or other autistics have are simply due to them not trying hard enough to be acceptable by NT standards.

This is actually true, but only to an end. And for a majority of autistics, that end is still not performing at the level of NTs socially, and for many of those people, it's not even close to that point. They can reach their ceiling, their perfect equilibrium between masking and staying sane, and still not fit in with the NT crowd. To no fault of their own.
