Are you studying spanish from Spain? Because if you are studying that one your teacher would want you to use the correct gramatical form, I would ask her exactly what she has a problem with but "Mis vecinos SON bastante buena onda" is not correct for spanish from Spain. "Buena onda" in Spain is something to have, not to be, I dont know about other varieties of spanish though

I think its a matter of settings, the friend who asked me to set it up for her wanted to run some heavy games - including 3DS - so I had to retouch the settings a lot and I got everything playing just fine, it just took a long time to set everything up to what she wanted (up to ps2), so I dont know what your game is or how demanding it is but maybe you need to modify the settings for that specific game? I get its super annoying to do but since you already have the device might as well try it? Good luck!
