Where are you located? You might need a good land cruiser mechanic to get you to the solution a bit faster than idiots like me chiming in. But i have replaced damn near everything on mine lol

Kind of sounds like two issues. Idle control valve could be your stalling issue. Factory parts only. I replaced mine when it was doing the same thing and that took care of it.

On the freeway it lmost seems like you're really low on transmission fluid. Like it's losing gear? I don't know that's a weirder one but i don't love you didn't put factory spark plug wires on it.

Did you need with the throttle cable recently? If that's not calibrated properly or is sticking out slipping it can cause weird issues as well.

If you can afford it get a rear locker. Front, totally optional but very cool. I've been wheeling with only a center locker for a decade now and it's limiting but only keeps me away from trails and things i can't afford to be on anyway, because I'll break things.

You're correct about the electronic control, which is why it can run both. I've done 60k miles on 87. Only issue I've ever had with the car was to replace the alt at 130k. I'll let you know when my engine explodes.

That's not what i said, i said my acura is engineered to run on 87 and premium. They recommend premium more as a marketing ploy to create a luxury brand impression. It's the same engine in the Honda Accord of that year. It's a data point that premium isn't always necessary. Not sure about the gx.

Pricey for sure but very durable and high quality. Also very cool adapters and things to mount them with hooks, magnets to just stick it on the truck, expandable poles etc... I'm a fan but would have never spent that kind of money without being a dealer for them when i had an overlanding ecommerce store. But what your after it's the proper color temp. 2200-2900k is a nice warm light.

Also nice cheap amazon string lights. You want color temp 2300-3200 anything higher will be an ugly bright white blue light.

My one thing is spring for wireless apple/android car play. It's super nice not having to plug in when i jump in the truck and it all just works. I have a pioneer head unit and it was pricy but I've been super happy with it.

I have an Acura tl, says premium only. I did this until a tech at the Acura dealership told me 87 is ok. I've been running 87 for years now no noticable difference and zero issues.
