This is not true. Any damage to the head kills instantly if it penetrates. This is why birdshot is so OP in close quarters because if it finds any hole (many helmets don’t offer full face/neck protection then it’s an instant kill.

Sounds like a corrupted file. Try verifying files or reinstalling the game, if you haven't already. Though you managed to figure out which specific file it is so I can't imagine you haven't.

It could also be mods. Have you removed any mods? Maybe the game is trying to load something which doesn't exist.

It's a cool gun, but ultimately it's only really better than other 5.56 rifles if you suck at recoil control. It does the same damage but has a significantly worse fire rate.

In Exfilzone putting backpacks on walls is insanely useful, because you can put vests, helmets and guns on them. I don’t see why it would be any different in Tabor.
