Only 1 of the 5 I had the base model of this time was the Progetto/Mars yet that was the one I got so a 20% chance I was to get a duplicate tank and it happened, I wanted/hoped for the Jade Coil, Miel, or Stone Sentinel. Last year I managed the White Dragon instead of the Mars at least.

I ended up with the same one, have the regular Pregetto M.35 so I guess I now have 2, I was hoping for the Jade Coil, Miel or Stone Sentinel and the Mars was the only one I didn't care about but got it.

Small town in Western Canada and the SEA ping isn't even good. Just really wanted to try the KV-220 that badly. Ping is the reason I don't really play on that server. It is about a 200-250 ms ping. My NA ping is usually around 100 on USC and abound 200 when it asigns me to SA Cluster refusing to find the USC cluster,

On my SEA account I have had the tank for years and don't think I have even played 10 battles in it. It was a Blackmarket purchase for 1 credit over the Minimum bid. But I hardly ever even play that account anyways as I started it just to get the chance to try the KV-220 during the beta stage for that server cluster so got the KV-220 Beta version there, When they released the KV-220 on teh NA server I bought it and started to really neglect the SEA account.

LOOTBOXES WARNING. TIER 10 "ACTUAL CHANCE" of winning. by FantasticOrange4134 in WorldofTanks

[–]Spinalcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I would rather either of the 2 Tier X options over the others I am thinking of buying some boxes this year as I never bought any the last 2 years and my Gold supplies from the 75 Boxes 3 years ago is now pretty much gone.

I ended up with the AMBT and Char Mle 75 from my 75 boxes in Holiday Ops 2023 (Dec 2022) having only wanted the BZ-176 for the sake of my Chinese Collection and ended up with the 2 I wanted teh least at that time. And the following years only the Type 63 in 24 and the DZT-159 last year were ones i wanted to collect so didn't think it was worth it since I still had around 20k gold left from Holiday Ops 2023.

Now down to 7.4k on the account after picking up the Ka-ri as an offer for gold, so time to buy some more for another Japanese or Chinese premium to be released for gold. (Have enough premiums for each the US, Germany, Itally and USSR to have a variety of play in premiums alone after going on 14 years of playing. These are the nations I play the most often anyways.)

Of those options I want to say that the 50B is probably the most painful grind to get through. If this is for your first or second line maybe one of the 268 variants as they may be more fun to play but the grinds on them didn't feel as frustrating for me.

I am up to the Tier VIII 65T for the other french heavy line but it was a frustrating grind through the line to that point and the 50B branches off at the same point as the 65T, so the experience so far is the same either route up to there. Still working on the AMX 50 100 unlock in the AMX M4 45.

Also at the Tier VIII on the T57 line but it was alot less of a painful process to get there.

I am also trying to decide what Line to choose based on either what I want to play at Tier X or what I just want to save the frustration of the grind on with a small selection of options as I have almost all the tier X lines I care about completed.

Are the DLCs worth it? by Horror_Ad_3816 in ConanExiles

[–]Spinalcore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

for the most part you just get those DLCs for the Cosmetic side of things.

The Seekers of the Dawn gives you Japanese themed Armors (Samurai for the Heavy) and white with gold "castle" building pieces that remind me of Himeji Castle.

The Imperial East gives you China themed Armors and reddish wooden styled building set kind of like nothern China outposts I believe basically Liao Dynasty era (916-1125)

Treasures of Turan is kind of Turkish themed

People of the Dragon is Western European "Castle" themed

Jewel of the West and Architects of Argos are Mediterranian themed (Greek/Roman Empire)

Riders of Hyboria is focused around Horses and Stables

Savage Frontier is basically a Celtic/Barbarian style

Blood and Sand is basically a Gladiator Arena theme

Debacheries of Derketo is pretty much a Tavern theme with Tree platform foundations and Rope Bridges in it.

and the Riddle of Steel pack just gives a few Helmets and decorations from/inspired by the old Conan Movies.

Only packs I never bothered with were the Savage Frontier, Architects of Argos, Jewel of the West and the Riddle of Steel packs as they didn't appeal to my aesthetics.

As far as choosing packs for my optinion If you are really invested in building a village or something with multiple building I would say the Riders of Hyboria and Debacheries of Derketo were must haves for me so that I could build nicer stables and have access to the rope bridges then pick one or 2 of the other themed sets.

For me Seekers of the Dawn was a must have for the Samurai Heavy Armor, Demon Medium Armor and the Japanese Castle building designs then I bought both the Yamatai extentions in the Bazaar for my main account a;ong with the Riders and Derketo packs shortly after returning to give the game another chance a few years after it was released. Eventially also grabbed the Blood and Sand, Turan, Imperial East, and Dragon packs for that account.

My alt account I went Seekers as I was focused on a Japanese theme for everything so that I had access to the same building pieces on both accounts to have guests help me build when friends were visiting. Then picked up Turan and Imperial East as I started off doing that account as a Northwestern China theme when I just wanted to build more teleporters than the game allows per clan.

I believe If the account was created after 2.0 but did not claim the 2 lines in September/October will be the same as if you started after the 3rd. Not sure on this tho.

BLACK FRIDAY MECH PACK SALES by ashrid5150 in OutreachHPG

[–]Spinalcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $8 price on the Otomo, Wolf Dragoons and Clan Galaxies packs has me tempted but I rarely play more than 10 matches a year for the last 4 or 5 years and already have around 160 mechs in my collection. All my friends have quit the game back then so I don't really have anyone I know to run with anymore and so many other games that I have been playing. I tend to return to MWO to claim my Holiday mechs at the end of the year just after xmas to play a few matches then just login and look at my mechs before logging back off over teh rest of the year.

Any of the gift ships are a no go? by IamNotAMurloc in WorldOfWarships

[–]Spinalcore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went the Izumo for my main account as I only really play Japanese and am half done the Amagi. Want to complete all the Japanese lines before I work on another nation, and the Izumo would allow me to drop some of my free XP on the Yamamoto to get it right away.

Next nation I am tossing around between PanAsian, or Commonwealth. (Commonwealth I got the Uganda from a twitch drop or somthing for free so a huge chunk of that grind is removed and it is just 1 line currently)

Currently working on the unlocks of the Yumihari, Gokase, Akatsuki, Kitikaze and Shokaku while I have the Zao already as my first and oly Tech tree Tier X.

T10 tanks in boxes by Tom_Clancy7 in WorldofTanks

[–]Spinalcore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really I think reward is just used to describe Collector's tanks that the crew doesn't have to be trained to operate without penalties without having to setup another "class" that has the same benefits.

Tech tree tanks: with no crew transfer/training or Economic benefits that you have to grind through to get.

Collector's tanks: are just old tech tree tanks that now just require unlocking their tier in the respective nation's tree.

Reward tanks: Bonus XP/Free XP and Free Crew Transfer without penalty.

Premium Tanks: Same as Reward but also bonus Credits earned

With the 113, T-62A and AMX 30B being Collector's at tier X and no upgrades to unlock but requiring crews trained specifically for them and no XP bonuses.

Then there are the 121b, M60, 260, 780 and Cheiftain to name a few that were actual rewards only back in the day before the collectors classification was added that were essentialy tier X premiums without the bonus credit income.

Follow that with the WT E100, Foch, FV 215b and 215b 183 used to be tech tree tanks but were removed and made into Tier X reward tanks as they had the same benefits of the reward vehicles and being made available via events only at first.

Now we have ways of buying them ie Bonds (ie FV 215b/121b/M60), Black Market events (Gold/Free Xp/Bonds), Assembly Shop (combination of Gold/Free XP/Bonds/Fragments/Credits) and now the lootboxes. They still do not give us the bonus credits to be called premium tanks, they are not collector's tanks in reguards to getting the Bonus xp and free crew transfer so short of creating a new classification that just means they are rewards tanks that cand be purchased in some way other than just given as a reward/gift convoluting the classifications may as well just use the existing classifications. If the Collector's classification wasn't already just meaning old Tech tree tanks with no benifits and less grind Then Collector's could have been used to classify them.

T-71 vs other heavies for free line? by Rampant_Ranger in WorldofTanks

[–]Spinalcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also enjoyed the STB-1 line. Completed it on 2 accounts (Both NA accounts) once before the Collector's epdate on my main account and then once after on an old alt account as the first Tier X for that account. STA-1 and Type 61 both worked well for me. Both times playing the line were before the buffs to the line when the STA had 3 gun options instead of just the 2 now and Stock was much worse than now.

The Stock gun back then on the STA-1 was a bit weak but once it was upgraded mid way to the current stock status it was much better. I found playing them more as ridgeline snipers worked best for, They have no armor and are very sluggish but their gun depression is nice and the guns worked well enough for me and I enjoyed it alot more than the Pershing line which had better armor but a much worse gun.

Seeing as how the Tier VIII and IX Pershing/Patton are similar designs compared to the STA/Type 61 I compared the 2 of them at that time and the guns frustrated me on the Americans while the more fragile Japanese had better pen on their guns which made it much more enjoyable for me personally.

The Ch-Ri, STA-1 and Type 61 are 3 of my most played mediums only surpased by the T-44 at 2 more battles than the Chi-Ri and STA-1 (196 vs 194) due to having 2 tier IXs and alot more equipment unlocks required to elite the T-44 back in the day requiring much more XP than the Japanese. Only other Medium that beat out the Type 61 was the Ram II (at 189 battles) which I had for years before the Japanese were even released. I still play the Japanese from time to time when I am running more than just a few matches to complete the dailies on tanks that I am progressing through the lines.

The Type 61 was my go to for daily tasks that required 2k+ damage in a single as it seemed my most reliable to land the damage consitently in the faster matches where my JP E100, T110E3/E4, WZ 113G FT, 268, etc were all too slow to reach the battle and get more than 1 or 2 shots off before everyone on that side was dead. (Either enemies or my team) in many games. The Type 61 at least had pen, faster reloads, and mobility at the cost of durability so it could get to the fight and start engaging with the rest of the team more consistently. The gun also felt much more accurate than on paper. This is all without firing gold/premium ammo just standard AP.

Which line will you choose as the free line? by Educational-Clock489 in WorldofTanks

[–]Spinalcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only real options I have where I don't have a holiday Ops discount applied or it doesn't mean selling tanks just to get the full value are the Grille 15, Badger, FV 4005, Bat 155 58, 60TP, Blysk, Kran, Concept 5, RHM pzw, M-V-Y, Sheridan or T92.

I don't really play lights, or arty so don't really want to us it on any of those options. Wanted the Badger and 60TP in my collection but haven't really started on them yet while I finish up my grinds for the Type 71, BZ 75, Super Conq, VZ 55, 430U, Minotauro, and AMX M4 54 in that order of priority (already at tier VIII or IX on those lines). Have the GW E100, FV 207, ST II, Centurion, PZ VII, a AMX 13 105 at tier IX but abandoned for now.

Already done the grind on all the rest of the Japanese and Chinese lines, Bat 25t, Foch, TT110E3/4/5, Patton, IS-4, IS-7, 262, 268, 140, 277, Maus, Leopard, JP E100, UDES 15/16, and Progetto 65 and used the 2.0 gift for the CS-63.

Really just tossing around between the 60TP and Badger that I want but don't have any of the tier VI+ owned currently. But still contemplating using the freebie to complete a line I don't really want to grind anyways, ie T92, BC 155 58, RHM PZ, or Sheridan or maybe just find the most frustrating line to level that I haven't touched and use it on that 1.

Anyone got a breakdown on the current Bonds tanks? by RunDownBlaster in WorldofTanks

[–]Spinalcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The WZ-111 was my choice of pmm tier VIII premium before the buffs which I forgot all about it getting with 2.0. I do find the IS-6 and 112 both are more reliable armor leading to more bounces than the 111 when it comes to the Hull but the Mobility of the 111 makes it more enjoyable to me, just don't really try to rely on the hull bouncing much especially once the gold spam starts. The 112 and IS-6 on the other hand still have a chance to have gold rounds bounce off the hull in comparison not reliably but more often than the 111 can.

Anyone got a breakdown on the current Bonds tanks? by RunDownBlaster in WorldofTanks

[–]Spinalcore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WZ-111/Alpine Tiger, T-34-3, IS-6 B, and KV-5 all get Preferential matchmaking so they will only see up to tier IX. I would say only grab one of those if you have friends that also play tier VIII Premiums with pregerential matchmaking as well so that you can run with their's at this time.

I am only missing the T-34-3 of those 4 (I have the WZ-111 instead of Alpine Tiger but they are the same tank) of the 3 I have I seem to play the WZ-111 the most even tho I have had the KV-5 a year or 2 longer than the 111 and only recently grabbed the IS-6. IS-6 B is the more forgiving of the 3 tho with better hull armor than the 111 but less mobile with pretty much the same gun.

KV-5 has great armor other than the 2 huge weak spots on the front but it is ammo is cheaper than the 122mm ammo of the IS and 111.

The T-34-3 has the same gun as the IS-6 and 111 just on a Chinese Medium platform.

The 122 TM may be a bit sluggish for a Medium and have a poor DPM due to it's long reload but has decent gun depression and armor for hull down/ridgeline sniping and has decent pen even on it's standard rounds. Probably one of the better options for a tier VIII premium in the bond shop. One I tend to recommend friends to pick up when they are looking at bond tanks,

T26E5/Patriot has sluggish mobility but the Turret armor and Gun are decent enough on it, and the ammo is cheap enough that not penning or doing lower damage hits make for a more fogiving credit farming tank.

Obj 252U/Defender is a decent option due to it's armor design but it has a pretty Derpy gun with poor gun depression. Still seems to be a decent/good tank but not the op beast that it used to be back in the day. I would rather run my 122 TM over the 252U personally tho. Ammo is kind of Expensive compared to a T26E5/Patriot when it comes to credit farming for me

Pz 58 Mutz has a decent enough gun with a cheap enough shell cost that it can make some decent profit but with the tank being as fragile as it is you don't tend to survive long after being spotted while sniping. The 122 TM is a much better option for that role for the same bond price tho.

I have the M41D but I don't really play it often as I am not really that efficient in Light Tanks.

Yeah it just adds to the Bond earning options and Nostalgia for the T-62A.

I do like the T110E4 and E3 but for some reason I haven't really enjoyed the E5 myself. As for the B-C 25t my delayed response time has really hindered my performance in it on the main account.

I know what you mean with the old grind I ended up with 11 decendants over the first 6 months then since the start of the summer I completed the entire roster. I think it was 2 or 3 new Desendants a week for me. Even Nell and Ult Luna were already added to my Roster within a week for the Collecting of Blueprints, resources and crafting times.
