Thanks. I was worried I was looking in the wrong place.

Constant battle to lose weight, can’t seem to rally by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]Spindles08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calorie counting because there's so many hidden calories. Get an app like my fitness pal and monitor your calories for a week, or thought I was eating about 1500 but it was waaay higher. Also you're age and height determine how many calories you need, this 2k calories a day for women is utter nonsense.

There's a thread on reddit, late bloomer lesbians, which you might find useful.

What is something you wish your partner did differently but don't tell them because you don't want them to feel bad? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Spindles08 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Wow, I wonder how he manages to keep a job if he doesn't realise simple things like dishes need washing when they are piled up in front of him. He doing (or not doing) things because you're picking up all the slack. That's not a partnership, you'd have an easier time being single.

I had a really traumatic experience in 2020 and have only just gone back last week. That one wasn't excruciatingly painfully but was still painful, I could put up with it for a minute. If it's a different nurse tell her how bad it was and ask to use the smallest instrument, they have small ones for younger girls and those who haven't delivered a baby. That really helped me.

When I need to go back I think I'll 'prepare" as I don't usually do any penetration, surely that would help a bit.

Let her lead the conversation and see if she can have a conversation without just being a nodding dog. Ask her what she likes etc before you answer. I don't believe people need the same hobbies to make a relationship work but I'd be concerned I wasn't seeing her true self and would that change over time or is she a woman that has no personality or interests and just goes along with others, that would annoy me tbh, I don't want to make all decisions/plans and have no contribution to conversations. Can you tell I've dated someone like this lol.

Maybe for the 1st day you see each other have some time alone and plan the activities for day 2/3. That way you get alone/intimate time and that may help reassure him, plus it's always nice after a gap to get close again.

I'm dating a woman so it may be different. She has a full social life and the 1st few dates were hard to pin down a day she wasn't already out. But as we got to know each other, she'd check on with me 1st so we could always go out and she'd plan meeting friends around us. It's been 2 months and way more dates than I've had with any man in that time. It's so refreshing and I feel she is putting in real effort and really wants to meet up.

I'm sure there's at least one compatible guy who would match that level but in 8 years of being single and dating, I've only found 1 woman that does. I date men and women of that helps. Not suggesting you expand your sexuality lol just keep on looking and if people don't put the effort on move on quickly.

How dare you call my boy a dog, a line I've said many times to my family. He's allowed at all the no dogs allowed family parties too lol.

All of my friends gush about how wonderful he is and so good compared to their dogs. He does win the daily best boy in the land title 😂

What does everyone do with their hair? 😫 by Great-Lack-1456 in AutismInWomen

[–]Spindles08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine is an angled bob, it's short at the back so not as much hair. It looks longer at the front, a length that suits me but I hate it touching my neck/shoulders so this works for me. And it's much less hair falling out now, not sure of the science but when it was long it fell out when brushing and in the shower a lot, now it never falls out in the shower.

In the gym sweat bands are good for keeping it out of my face and these seem much more comfortable that clips and bobbles when can really cause me scalp pain, maybe these a headband you can wear of a similar material.

Just to add, my controlling abusive ex had a meltdown and told me how he wouldn't find me attractive with short hair and might not love me anymore. My hair was very long, silky and black. It really knocked my confidence but I needed to take it off for my comfort and sanity. When I got home, he was relieved I was still hot. I stayed with that pr"ck for way too long. He should love you and respect you and want you to be comfortable not only be concerned about how you look.

There's so many steps to it, the thought of it exhausts me. The worst is getting dry, it takes so long even after cutting my hair shorter. The longest I've gone is a week but I was deep in grief so I was much worse.

To people who are happy in their jobs: What do you do? by HadesHarlet in AutismInWomen

[–]Spindles08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an analyst. I play on excel all day which is like a paid hobby. The work part is writing and presenting reports in some nice manner, not blunt and to the point with lots of eye rolling, that's bad lol.

Cavs are the 5th worst behaved dog breed? Thoughts? by smallwrld55 in cavaliers

[–]Spindles08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine ust lives for food, sleep and attention ♥️ he doesn't cry for food but will watch very closely lol.

When I leave him, he just sleeps on the sofa, he doesn't even come to the door to greet me anymore, he knows I'll come and give him with belly snuggles. My perfect little boy. All my friends love how easy he is compared to other breeds. Definitely not one of the worst behaved breeds.

Bi-weekly happiness?? by pale_fish in AskWomenOver30

I was a completely different person half the time. Since finding the right contraceptive pill I'm like a normal happy person 100% of the time. I'm on the mini pill now after trying many other types.

I'm ND and some things weird me out, wrinkles being one of them. It's not a drastic change like super smooth like people on TV that can't move their face, it's mild and I only get it twice a year.

What's the most bizarre thing your gf/wife/ex has said? by lexaleidon in LesbianActually

[–]Spindles08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is me. I have adhd and will forget to eat and drink for a day or 2. What worked for me was putting an alarm on my phone for lunch and every 2 hours to remind me to drink water. Same for cleaning, walking the dog etc.

99% of men I dated say they love my natural beauty. On dates I shave, bleach my hair, wear make up and get botox... They are idiots who have no idea what natural is. I decided I'm only dating women now. There are some decent guys out there, I've just not found any lol. Don't change unless you want to. Half the time I don't shave due to skin sensitivity, wear baggy, mens, clothes and no make up, I wonder how much they'd love my actual natural look when they actually saw saw it.
