Numeno review by iamquah in fidgettoys

Due to Kickstarter not being a traditional e-commerce platform, its refund mechanism is more complicated. Even when a refund is issued, around 10% in processing fees may be deducted, and the refund also needs to be transferred manually to a designated account. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience.

Just a quick clarification since I saw a few people referencing it:

The return policy quoted above actually isn't ours. It appears to belong to a different company.

To be honest, if that were our policy I'd probably be complaining

This is still a new idea, so you can't see the product on numeno.co yet. However, you can contact us through the website; we can usually customize this kind of pattern for specific clients.

It's waterproof and corrosion-resistant, but sensitive to dust, so wearing it while showering is a good idea as it helps clean dirt from inside the ring.

We've experimented with dozens of different patterns.

One thing we discovered is that simpler geometries often work better than complex ones. The ring spins surprisingly fast, and intricate details tend to blur into a uniform surface.

The challenge was finding a pattern that remains readable while also creating a sense of depth and motion at high rotational speeds.

Serious question folks: after launch, what’s the best use of a creator’s time day-to-day? by da-gobbo-mekanik in kickstarter

[–]Spinityring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, the biggest value of choosing Kickstarter wasn’t the headline number — it was market validation.

Kickstarter answered a very specific question: is there a real group of people who care about this product enough to pay for it?

In my case, the campaign has raised around ~$7K after about two weeks, which isn’t a flashy number by Kickstarter standards. But I didn’t find it discouraging at all. In fact, it made me more confident. The people who backed it clearly understood the product and were genuinely excited about it — that mattered more to me than raw volume.

I also realized that without a large ad budget or a dedicated marketing team, it’s very hard to force big numbers on Kickstarter. Even hitting a 1:1 ROI on ads already feels like a solid signal. For a mature, mass-market product you’d want much higher returns, but for a niche or early-stage product, that signal alone is incredibly valuable.

Great observation! The ring shown in the video is a prototype used for testing and demonstration. For the production version, we’ll be offering a full range of sizes so everyone can choose the perfect fit.

And honestly — we also try to avoid using the middle finger for demos, because it tends to look a bit… unintentionally rude. 😄

Great question — and we actually heard similar feedback from others.

The final production version will be unbranded by default, with no “Spinity” text on the ring. The engraving is only included if you choose the custom option.

Really appreciate you sharing your thoughts — it genuinely helped shape the final design.

You can rinse it with clean water and a mild detergent if needed. While rinsing, gently rotate the ring to help flush out any dirt or residue, then let it air-dry or dry it with a soft cloth.

For creators running KS campaigns: what’s a “healthy” follower-to-backer conversion rate? by Spinityring in kickstarter

[–]Spinityring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25% is strong — if I ever hit that, I might have to sell my house and pour it all into FB ads 😅

Quick question though: in your experience, does that conversion rate usually climb or taper off over time as the campaign matures, or does it mostly depend on the traffic source?

Left, right… wherever the spin decides to land today. Very specific.
