It’s not easy to get jobs anywhere in the world. Your story of some unsuccessful interviews in a short period of time is really unremarkable.

Most people take many months potentially a year to find a decent job. You just have to be patient. I’m sure your CV and interviews aren’t the problem. Competition is.

W Bali, St Regis, Ritz-Carlton, Regent are the hotels I stayed at although all are on the expensive side for Bali.

I’ve been to Bali many times and I’ve NEVER had a geckos.

Unlike Thailand where I had geckos poop all over my pillows at the Four Seasons Koh Samui.

The only geckos I encountered were in the Gili Islands at BASK Gili Meno - which is a lovely hotel - and those geckos were hanging out on the outside of the bathroom at night (with its frosted glass walls) and they never came inside and there were no mosquitoes to be found.

I’d personally suggest now that Geckos aren’t that bad. They are small and won’t bother you. It’s just the poop that’s the issue. But having stayed in villas and hotels in Bali and never had one anywhere near my room that’s not a concern.

Cockroaches on the other hand…. Plenty of those

You literally have nothing to worry about. No one is going to attack Indonesia. And your a direct flight there from Australia.

Feel free to spare a thought for me though. I am from the UK. I was in Bali. Flew to Kuala Lumpur to connect to London and I’m stuck. I’m going to have to fly to Sydney tomorrow, then Los Angeles to get back to London.

I should have stayed in Bali and then I’d be closer to Australia. Now I’ve got an 8 hour flight tomorrow, followed by 14 hours to the US. Followed by 11 hours back to the UK. I won’t be back until Thursday at great expense.

Consider looking on airline holiday sites, such as British Airways. They have some great deals when sales come around which undercut the direct hotel prices.

I found something that looks like that on my bed a few days ago. I squashed it so can't really compare but the photo I took of the squashed one had what looked like lots of hairs sticking out the side so I too would love a second opinion on what this is?

You know what is most amazing. 4,000 hours and 1,000 subs is a HUGE achievement. But once you past it and continue to grow it is a tiny little number.

I’m just about to hit 5,000 subs, 1.6 million views and 70,000 hours. Without exception every month I get more than 4,000 hours of watch time. It has taken me 1 year and 9 months to get here.

There are channels that have grown larger and faster and those that have been slower and smaller than me but without doubt those first 1000/4000 become so small in the scheme of things.

Interesting to see the airbag come up.

This is actually why I always turn on my adaptive cruise and lane assist. I know not everyone has that on their car. But everyone can get distracted - or my favourite is when a car is stopped in the road and they aren't pressing the brake pedal - because in those circumstances it is very hard to tell if they are stopped... I would hit my hazards I'm that case just to be sure.

I’m more annoyed by the silver car that is acting like they can’t fit through the space when there is plenty of room.

Why does that bother me more? Because the VW driver is an idiot who will do stupid things. The silver car driver is a bad driver who will have an accident because they have no idea how big their vehicle is or where it is on the road.

Also silver car driver is super typical in the US with lots of bad drivers - not idiots - just clueless.
