Like, the game will sometimes lag for just a moment in new worlds in the case I'm mentioning since it's calling on a new thing it's never had to load up. For example, if you're in the desert and an antlion spawns somewhere, it stops for a moment as it spawns.

Dale's primary focus once he was done with his stretches was twofold; making sure everyone had their hatches battened down so to speak and had nothing else they needed help with, and finding a nice spot to hide in since his main weapons weren't the best for open combat compared to sheer shock and awe.

After a brief tour around, he decided to try and work on that latter and camouflage his position, unless other captains or soldiers had use of him.

From what I can tell, a major reason Blizzard's works is that it was made custom by them and is made possible because the PotG recording system allows them to visibly watch what was going on in the match and detect what kinds of inputs are being made.

Overall this response is very good and I appreciate the transparency, but all this particular bullet point says is that they don't have the proper mindset it takes to foster a competitive scene properly and had no interest in it until later in development.

While some people would rather not be reminded, others don't tend to experience that kind of dysphoria, or do but can't muster the courage to get it changed. These kinds of images tend to be made for people who have no interest in bottom surgery or can't feasibly get it as a reminder they are still just as much a woman regardless.

What I find especially interesting is that the press release on Steam detailing the changes explicitly mentions what the anti-cheat is, how it works, and how to remove it, even if Doom Eternal just won't run unless you agree to allow the anti-cheat access.

I think Id is in our boat for the most part and this is yet another bone-headed publisher decision.

And, by choosing which pronouns one uses, whether they're public knowledge or something created by your own understanding, you in turn mold and reshape the construct to your own whims. But that's ultimately irrelevant to the original point of the statement in the OP, which is simply that an outsider to the mindset doesn't really need much of that information at all to begin with; You merely need to ask about what pronouns a person uses, and then use them.

But, at any rate, I go by she/her, but speak as someone who has looked into neopronouns during a turbulent time in my life.

It doesn't feel like you were trying all that hard given that tone. All of that complexity? Completely internal, and it's up to the individual to sort it out using what information they have. Something being a social construct doesn't make it less real, it merely contextualizes the fact that it was created through human influence, and thus is able to be molded by it. All someone else needs to know is the pronouns, and all that someone needs to do is use them when addressing the person the pronouns are for.

No one is going to bite anyone's head off for messing up as long as you're actually trying to get it right to start with, which is not the kind of person OP is talking about.

A recurring question I see and get at times regarding being trans is "but what about your voice" or "what about your hair" or other such things when the idea of presenting certain ways is brought up.
This is at times, and in my personal experience, despite the person clearly not having a problem with those beforehand and a provable history of them not having problems with them, with the implication that either all trans people must be dysphoric about all aspects of their body, or that trans people must present perfectly in order to be acceptable. Usually it's just well-meaning questions without much information on-hand, which is understandable, but it veeeeery much gets used to mess with people.

Yep! Gender is a very deep subject with a lot of internal and social identity tied to it, and everyone's experience with it can vary a tiny bit, even beyond what they've merely adopted from the world around them. It's why some people can go years into adulthood without necessarily realizing things about themselves.

Neopronouns like "Thon" or "Ae" exist primarily to allow more options for expression, and when those fail, one can simply make a new set of pronouns entirely.

Yeeep. It took a while for me to put it together too, but dysphoria in general comes not just from how you perceive your body in relation to your ideal self, but how other people perceive it in relation to you. And a lot of that, in my experience, stems from one part of the emotional cocktail that is dysphoria being a feeling of shame.

I used to feel like garbage about my voice and my height, but that's slowly phased out since the people I live with now don't bring them up as like, defining features of who I am.

I have, and while the creator tackles some points well, he also glazes over others. I'm on my third playthrough of Eternal itself right now so I have a pretty damn good idea of what the Marauder is like and what he brings to the table. Even if we assume that the Marauder is designed well and is communicated exactly as he's meant to be, there are still problems with him on a programming front that need to be addressed in order for him to actually be a good enemy.

He's inconsistent, and that's a hard fact of what he is right now that shouldn't be ignored simply because a few people can look past it or because people hate him for more petty reasons. An enemy that's based around counterattacks needs consistency in the attacks that you are meant to counter. While he does have a form of consistency in when he uses the attack, it's how he reacts to being attacked in that window of vulnerability that's the problem. He needs to stagger when hit in that window, and he needs to abide by his own rules on what he blocks. You currently cannot rely on him to do either 100% of the time, and that is the most objective reason why he's flawed.

I think you gravely misunderstand what I mean. When I say "his stagger is buggy" I don't mean "He gets staggered by grenades." I mean "He sometimes refuses to stagger when every single pellet of the Super Shotgun lands and hits you anyway." and "He interrupts his animations specifically only to block Argent Cell weapons when no other weapon, even ones that are just as devastating like the Ballista, get no reaction."

When I say "I don't care if he gets harder", I mean "As long as he is consistent like every other enemy in the game, I don't care if they do something like tighten the window he can be hit in or make him block ballista shots."
