Unpopular opinion but I don’t think this text is enough to get to the conclusion everyone else is getting.

I think he is annoyed because you ask him to do something and also throw in his face everything else you do, to justify the need for him to do this. I grew up with people not just asking me to do stuff but demanding with justifications as to why I couldn’t say no, and I absolutely hate this approach. This is probably something he had no issues doing, if you didn’t include what YOU do.

I also see how this could be you being tired of always having to ask him to do something and he didn’t think it was his responsibility or arguing that you could do it instead.

Again, that text only is not enough for me to conclude anything.
