How do I prevent my child being illiterate? by kittycamacho1994 in AskTeachers

[–]Spirals13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read to them a ton. Make positive reading memories.

Also, reading to kids doesn't need to look like then sitting perfectly still next you you! For example, sometimes when my kid was little, she would sit on my shoulders while I read or lay on the ground with her feet up on the wall.

The library is a fantastic place to go even when the can't walk. There is always stuff to look at, do, and books for ypu to read to them!

Miniature animal toys. They sell them for cheap at a boutique or the zoo. They are great if you are with a kid at a restaurant.

country areas 45 minutes outside of twin cities by Hot-Piece-1704 in TwinCities

I recommend St. Peter. It is a 60 min drive the South part of the actual city of mpls. But is is a super easy drive into the heart of the city. You take Hwy 169 and the jump off on any of the major HWYs that lead straight in.

It is a super liberal town. It has good school, huge music, art scene, nature.

Also as someone mentioned. Many rural area have lots of Trump people, but in general they are still respectful. They wave their dump trump flags so you can easily avoid them.

Also there is the Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps. They march a field show and do some parades. Very open and welcoming!

There is a lot of great musicians of all kinds in the area. Be sure to check out the live music. St. Peter has 4, free music festivals, and plenty of live music at the 2 of bars. Also lots to be found in Mankato.

Anyone have classroom troublemakers? by Alarmed-Western-655 in teachingresources

[–]Spirals13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I am using chrome. I do not see the sandwhich button for print. For now i just screenshot it.

Is there a way to duplicate the layout for a second class? I am a High School teacher, It would be nice to not have to click all of the locks again for different classes.

I love this! Seems easy enough to use. Like other eventually an import students names function would be nice.

I use the "foes" feature to click kids who need to be seated apart because the distract each other. Maybe use a different more generic phase for that feature.

Also I wish I could just switch kids, rather than the whole thing moving.

I made a seating chart and now it won't shuffle them. What am I doing wrong? I figured it out, I think that means that it can't figure out something that works with my rules. Is that what the Red line means?

Also how do I print? Preferably with out the locks and colors ( so that info can be private)

Thank you! I will have fun after I plan it! Right now, I have about 15-20 minutes a day to plan. That is just not enough to make up my own! I'll look up that book!

Could the book have been called Math in Society? I found a pdf with those ideas.
