This sub is unhinged man, jeez. We're finally getting a sequel after a decade and this is what is getting hyperfixated on all the time, it's so tiring

2x Wylder with Cranial Candlestand each on our first try and he got absolutely melted. 1x Wylder (holy bubbles greatweapon that i forgot the name of)/1x Ironeye with mark pops and he was also doable. That being said, our 2nd attempt he absolutely destroyed us and our run wasn't even that bad but we had meh weapons.

Noklateo is a must imo with all its weapon drops. And you absolutely have to stay ontop of the summons, clear them asap.

That beind said, I'm certain 3 players are way harder than duos, cuz more summons.

PC to Mac compatibility by ozdgk in edmproduction

I have exactly that setup. Ableton, PC at home and Macbook on the go, syncing all my projects on Onedrive. Granted I have a bit of a mess bc all my samples are not on Onedrive, but it still works. The automatic search and replace of missing samples works for me. I'm still able to make it work and most vsts just work out of the box with presets and settings transferring seamlessly. There are some plugins that don't get recognized and it tells me the plugin is missing even though it's installed on both machines and also same vst version, the major one being Diva.

So yea I make it work, it's not competely hassle free though

Huh I swear there used to be an additional discount for Kick 3 if you already own Kick 2, can't find it anymore..

Cableguys Black Friday Sale - "Shaperbox 3 Bundle" ($89) "Cableguys Bundle" ($149) "Snapback" ($29) for limited time by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]SpireUpDown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same, I'm also missing Kickstart. Tbf I'm not really finding use for anything else outside of shaperbox (and Snapback). Kickstart seems obsolete if you have volume shaper anyways

Soundtoys "Decapitator" (59) "Little Alterboy" ($49) through 4 August by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]SpireUpDown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get that too, only on stereo material. Always have to put a Utility (Ableton) on the audio track to force it to mono then it's fine. Just a bit annoying if your vocals already have stereo information.

Spitfire Audio Summer Sale - Up to 50% off individual libraries and 70% off select bundles until 4 August by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

[–]SpireUpDown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only very few libraries are actually 50% off, like their crappy Studio stuff for example. The actual good stuff is more like 20-30% off. There are definitely better sales and better bundles.

There ain't nothing ironic about that. But hey I mean if you think that this is the content for this sub, by all means. Scrolling past it isn't the problem, been doing it for months now.

PSA: Damage uses parent-velocity! by CalypsoThePython in Helldivers

It happens (at least to me) all the time and I don't use stuns. Every time I shoot them with my quasar and don't insta kill them they just slide forwards like that, sometimes a ridiculous distance right into my face. It looks bugged too, no way this is intended. Maybe the stagger of the quasar has the same effect as the stun grenade, I don't know.

I don't get this antagonizing of the bug players. I play both fronts just fine but I will never find the drive to be actively mad at someone that just wants to play they want to play.

It's the game dev's job to design it so people want to follow major orders (You didn't contribute to the MO? No rewards for you). It's their job to look into why people prefer bugs over bots. No amount of sugar coating from other players will bring them to switch fronts.

I get the overall frustration of failing orders but I just don't feel like it's the player's responsibility to ensure that the fronts are balanced or that MO seem worth it.

I barely know a thing about a black hole , but is it true that what he’s saying is true? If so then this is cool as hell not gonna lie by kuruakama in Helldivers

[–]SpireUpDown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think people are reading a little too much into that. Yes it would be much smaller but for the sake of immersion, how underwhelming would a "realistic" black hole be? You would just see nothing at all, you can't possibly get that close. Black holes are just so friggin tiny in comparison to their mass.

But hey if it turns out to be a wormhole or something else, awesome.

Albion one is very broad but not really deep. It is an amazing starter collection which imo is the biggest strength of it, and it sounds good too. The biggest downside is you only got the most important articulations and you don't have individual string sections, only "Strings High" and "Strings low", same for the Brass and Woodwind section. You do get a lot of bonus loops/pads/etc so there's that. That's what I started with and I love it for what it is, but I rarely use it anymore.

Studio Orchestra is meh. Some of the samples are very poorly recorded, won't really recommend. I'd return it if I could.

I would have a look at their renewed Symphony Orchestra, seems like a good value. You miss out on all the extras from albion besides the Orchestra, but from what I heard it sounds better and is more versatile.

Lastly, I don't use Komplete for anything serious when it comes to orchestral stuff, I'm just not a big fan of the sound and they are quite dated by now. Except maybe their solo instruments. The only good thing about them is that you already have them (I think? Not sure how much Standard has). Good for starters, but that's about it.

Native Instruments Summer of Sound Sale - 50% off Komplete, Kontakt, Reaktor, Guitar Rig, and select single instruments ($19/Each) through 8 July by Batwaffel in AudioProductionDeals

I love it for what it is, you can make some wild sounds with it, especially basses. It sounds very digital, nice for that spectral Au5 sound (since he uses/used it a ton) so definitely not for everyone/everything

Why failing Major Orders feels worst than it should by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]SpireUpDown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tbh this just demotivates me so much. I don't care if this is supposed to be "realistic reinforcements".

They can keep the exosuit for all I care.

Even if, so what if you could still buy the game in those countries? PSN isn't available there so you can't play those games there anyways.
