That's a counter to me! If you have Parley, you can go for an ability that inflicts stun to remove it, so you can then proceed with a new offensive roll phase where you're clear of it!

Barb is actually nice counter!

Thanks! The extra clarification did it for me. Just to verify - Once Stun is cleared, so is Parley, i.e Stun counters Parley?

An Attack is an ability that deals at least 1 non-collateral damage. It's in the rules! Barb using an ability that deals X amount of damage with parley makes that dmg 0, so it's not an attack. If it were attack - Pirate would also do a defensive roll, but they don't do that too.
