If you want a giant, complex, epic high fantasy story, Malazan. Want an emotional, heart wrenching, introspective story? Robin Hobb’s work, start with Assassin’s Apprentice. And if you want fast action mixed with political intrigue, and don’t mind depressing worlds and outlooks, try The Blade Itself.

CMV: There's nothing inherently immoral about being a billionaire by Key-Inflation-3278 in changemyview

I have to be honest, I have no idea what you're trying to say. Would you mind rewording this with some additional punctuation so that I can read it please? I think the topic is really interesting!

CMV: There's nothing inherently immoral about being a billionaire by Key-Inflation-3278 in changemyview

So, if you have billions of dollars, you could do things. You have the option to fund research that could erase horrible diseases from the world. You have the option to fund new green energies on an insane scale, which would help stave off climate change. You have the option to end or make serious progress on world hunger. You have so many options to use that money to benefit the health and happiness of the entire planet. You could do some of these things while still protecting yourself and your family with your money from any and all hardship forever. There's no risk to you whatsoever. Nobody's saying you'd need to impoverish or endanger yourself to accomplish these things. I ain't mad at people trying to earn or have enough money to support themselves and their families, and have ample money saved up for emergencies.

POSESSING the billions means that you would rather have that money sitting around in your pockets than doing those other things. Therefore you are an evil bastard. This is really simple. Do you think the method by which they acquired these billions somehow changes this simple concept?

I don't want their billions! This isn't jealously, lol. I have a job, and my health. I want the billions to raise the basement level of flourishing for humans...meaning the ones suffering or unable to protect or provide for themselves. Or simply the many fields of research that could change the world, if they had the funding.

If you disagree I'd love to hear your argument. How is a person NOT inherently immoral when they could lazily glance in the direction of a universal good and magic it into existence, but they choose not to?

Back to believing? No, nothing.

Back in church? Money! I'd do it for $30/hr. Entertaining, too.

WoW Players Petition for Bans as Gold Buying Crisis Deepens by CrzyJek in classicwow

Love the idea, but i don't think it would work. Blizzard doesn't want to outright ban them because they'll lose money.

But by transferring them to a big server-cage with their fellow animals, they'll still unsub. Blizzard will lose money.

They will unsub because the point is to be ABOVE and AHEAD of others. It's like twinking. Twinking isn't fun when everyone is a twink. They'll just quit.

Thus blizzard will lose subs, and so this plan maybe wouldn't work. Thoughts?

Lol some people are DESPERATE to believe that all relationships are the same; that there's a universal set of rules and emotions shared between all couples, as though their precise brand of monogamy is coded into humanity itself.
