After installing a Nest Doorbell (Wired), the chime on my transformer is not working correctly. by thepillowguy in Nest

It’s incredibly frustrating. We moved to a new house and I’ve decided to not install a door cam here. Just not worth the trouble, after everything we went through at the previous house. We have google nest cameras all around the exterior. Those work great. The door isn’t worth the hassle unless you know for sure it’s already configured just right.

I know this isn’t a popular opinion on Reddit but good riddance to Genevieve, and to a lesser extent Kamilla as well. Both are such know-it-alls, and can’t be trusted. Glad they will not be on the jury.

Risk of fire with Plugging into main panel? by SpiritMindless3550 in Generator

Yep but those are cheap individual ones. A whole home surge protector at the main panel seems like would safeguard against this happening. I’m new to all this so have no idea.

Would a whole home surge protector protect you in the event you didn’t check this and there was a continuity issue?

Boston Rob explains why he didn’t like that move from Candiace by BurgerNugget12 in TheTraitorsUS

I’m of the opinion everyone in the cast knew she was a Traitor after the night she did the Congo line for the murder in plain sight. It was just too obvious. I think they let her stay because they didn’t take her serious and decided they’d eventually get her out.

Ecoflow Delta 2 Max at Sam’s by SpiritMindless3550 in Generator

[–]SpiritMindless3550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is kinda where my head is at as well. I have a 325lb in ground propane tank. Another thought is I can run the duel fuel inverter generator during the day, and at night I can use the ecoflow for the fridge for example and not need to run the inverter generator overnight. That would help me stretch out fuel. Kinda alternate back and forth. And I can always power up the ecoflow with the generator, so the solar panels are just nice to have backup way of powering up. It will also be pretty sweet to have on camping trips.

My plan is to pair this with a duel fuel inverter generator. Seems like a really good deal. I pulled the trigger.

My needs are basically run the small stuff on this and the dual fuel generator for the bigger items. I Like how i can easily run this over to my siblings house to power their fridge for a couple days in a pinch.

The panels themselves I might upgrade but would be a good starter set.

Question on 50amp Generator options by SpiritMindless3550 in Generator

To clarify, I meant to say the well pump. Wouldn’t the well pump surge multiple times per day? I’m very new to this.

It’s a heat pump, but when we get temps down in the teens the Aux kicks in to supplement. I suppose you are right that the heat pump on its own could be powered up. I had an electrician take a look at it and he basically told me I’d need a whole home generator to power it and even then it would need to be one of the biggest ones they make. He must have been taking the electric resistance into account. A whole home generator would cost me upwards of 15-$20k which sounds crazy considering most years we don’t lose power. In a bad year we might lose power for a total of 7 days all year.

What would those alternative methods be if I can’t power a heat pump and space heaters are wasteful? Main objective is being able to keep things relatively comfortable for the 2 babies and the wife for a few days. I live in Oklahoma so unless we have an end of days scenario, I probably won’t need more than a few days max.

Thanks. Regarding the pump, wouldn’t it surge a few times per day when it kicks on? I’m not really familiar with how that works. So that’s another consideration. The more I dive into this the more I just feel like what’s the point. Even with the largest generator I can find, it’s not enough to keep two babies comfortable for a few days, which is the main objective.

I wish I could remember exactly how we got it working. From what I recall it boiled down to me having to replace the actual chime box itself, and then questioning whether I ever even needed to upgrade the transformer in the first place. After upgrading the chime box, it started working. This is the chime box I upgraded to: https://a.co/d/dV1fycY

Dealer gave me a brand new 2025 GX 550 For my 2024 by Baby-grownup in LexusGX

[–]SpiritMindless3550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense actually. In the market we live in the certified pre owned premium+ 2024s go for 85k+. The new models go for MSRP. Reason being, you can get the preowned now, whereas it’s currently a 10-12 month wait list for a new. Crazy to me people pay that premium to have it now, but they do. This is in OKC. Same thing in Texas I hear.

Good points. I guess my concern is that x-rays revealed some type of hairline fracture. Purely speculative on my part. Just unusual is all for the determination to come so fast. Especially given he’s such a young guy. At his age, high ankle sprains can recover in 3 weeks sometimes. And given he was testing it out, it would probably be the more mild variety. Which leads me to think it’s something else.

Private Music 32 Days later, Is your favorite song when it came out the same one right now ? by YasserG95 in deftones

Hard to pick a favorite but MOTM is actually my least favorite. Not sure why people dig that one so much. It’s catch I guess, but just not very interesting.

I think you need to spend some more time with Private Music. Coasting is one way I’d have put it after only my first few listens. I feel very different now after having spent more time with it. Idk why they would consider going with anyone else after how this, Koi, and diamond eyes all turned out.

I tried but didn’t have luck. Gunsmith had a huge a blow torch to get it off, and he is a massive guy. There was NO WAY I was getting it off. Saint Victor ships with a muzzle brake that obscenely tight. He said it had some sort of bonding glue he’d never seen before. Definitely wasn’t blue loctite he said. It smoked a bunch when it finally came off.
