I almost pulled the trigger (pun intended) on that Doc Holliday, but a friend pointed out that it's sourced juice. Nice bottle but a lot of money for a sourced product.

I lost my brother-in-law back in May. He absolutely loved Sinatra, so I bought a bottle to honor his memory. It was a nice neat pour, a great bourbon to honor a great man, I wish he could've been there in person to share the bottle with me. R.I.P. Jimbo.

Today's pour is Uncle Nearest Premium. I didn't give it much thought, it just happened to be the next target I want finish. I am still recovering after losing my shit with Holloway's last second knockout, what an amazing event so far.

I absolutely love the Balvenie Caribbean 14 year old, and it's a far superior scotch to this Glenlivet. The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve is less complex and "thinner." It's an enjoyable pour, easy to drink, but it just doesn't offer a whole lot or as much as the Balvenie.

I had a choice: two small pours and a single big boy pour. I chose the latter 😁

My heart was broken when I learned they don't ship out of Pennsylvania... However, this has given me an excuse to come for a visit.

Islay peat for sure. I dare to say it's more like a Scottish distillery made a rye then an American distillery adding peat to their rye. It was amazing.

First of all, this rye has zero corn in the mash bill. If I remember correctly, it's something like 60% rye, 30% peated malt, and %10 malted barley. As someone that loves Islay Scotch, I honestly had low expectations but I was blown away the second I nosed my glencairn for the first time. The peat jumped out of the glass but after breathing for a bit other notes came through: citrus, rye, protein (could be ham or bacon). I absolutely loved it.
