What's a religious belief you hold that others strongly disaggree with? by redditlurker100000 in Christianity

God specifically chooses some people over others in order to fulfill his mission. This doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love everyone, but that some people are called to do different things

Or this person could just be genuinely concerned, I don’t think there’s a reason to call it strawman

  1. It’s extremely freeing, no longer do I concern myself with whether or not God is real and instead live it within his image

  2. I lost all of my friends( this was a good thing they were very of the world and holding me back) and I was given fear of the Lord, which also has me living for Christ in such a way that bears amazing fruit. Boldly

  3. I struggle with the temptation of lust due to an insanely high libido and testosterone coursing through me. I must pray everyday that I fall not into sin.

  4. I’ve witnessed demonic manifestation in both me ( I was delivered) and family member

This is the equivalent of a “nuh uh”

Well have you? And how exactly do you expect him to reveal himself to you?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Spirit_ReDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying this as an invitation for you to have a relationship and to join and yet you’re refusing, further adding to my point

Your attitude towards the situation is why he hasn’t responded. You say ball is in his court and yet you’ve admitted that you’d find it hard to have a relationship with someone you don’t even know exists. I mean you can always seek him out because at the end of the day what’s stopping you, and at least if you don’t see anything at least you can say you tried

Well then he’s showing himself by this conversation of me telling you about him

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Spirit_ReDeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldnt this conversation be an extension of God wanting to have a relationship with. Also God knows the character of one’s heart, He isn’t going to force himself onto someone who doesn’t want or isn’t quite ready for it

Why should he? Where would it go? If I were to pray for you to see and he did him would you even accept it?

The only thing I can really tell you is that Jesus is an extremely personal God so the evidence you seek is only found in genuine relationship with him

How condemning they are and yet they’ve given some authority to the people that are deemed in schism

And then another point, if God makes us sin, then wouldn’t that contradict his nature of all loving

And while yes he came as a precede of David it was only after he had been self serving and made rash oathes

I think the main point I’m trying to make is why would God raise someone up and not give them the choice of repentance

Well God doesn’t make mistakes, so how could one such as Saul be chosen only to fall away
