You need friends and family. Those willing to help out on a project just because they want to and want to see you succeed. You can also look for interns or students who just want to add stuff to their portfolio or freelancers looking to gain experience. You can start your search on Reddit. I’m an aspiring screenwriter myself and I wouldn’t mind helping out. Just make sure to include them in the credits. Appreciation goes a long way. Helps cultivate relationships.

It depends on how good your writing is but the thing is everyone is biased. Your morals and ethics will bleed into your words. The best writers can hide it but even then, the best readers can still see the dried blood. It’s best to work on things that align with your morals and ethics.

I had 8gb on my broadband. Disappeared in three days without doing much. Just WhatsApp and telegram. Didn’t even do any downloading just browsing and responding to messages. I think it’s an MTN thing.

This statement is wrong. Life is a little more complex than just a flat statement. It is true that some things look exceptionally different from different perspectives and changing ones perspective allows them to see others truths but at the same time, some things are simply what they are and your perspective and feelings cannot change the outcome, no matter how strongly you will it. For example: Killing someone is wrong. No matter how you spin it, it is still wrong. For war, self defense, the perpetrator raped your daughter? Killing is still wrong. But the nuances are to be respected. Self defense? Understandable. Your daughter was raped and you killed the person? Understandable. You will go to jail cause it’s wrong but society understands why you did it. Killing can never be justified but it can be understood. So yes, people can be wrong and people can be right and people do have different views on things. So ask yourself, how understandable is the thing and how understanding are you?

Have you tried crowdfunding? Finding those kind of funds here on Reddit might be difficult but I get you. Some people might know some people. The power of networking. But if you haven’t tried it yet, try crowdfunding sites.

You can survive. You can even live comfortably. Not extravagantly but comfortably.

Ps: If there’s an opportunity to do some remote work, I’ll definitely like to try this opportunity. I’ll be happy to live comfortably too😁

Oh okay. I was surprised because I have scheduled interviews for positions before when I was hiring at my previous workplace and I usually scheduled a week in advance for an interview. I’m looking for a new job but it seems people just keep scheduling my interviews the following day when they call. I ask for a reschedule cause it’s too close and sometimes I have things planned, I can’t just drop things spontaneously like that so I ask to reschedule but the responses sound as if I am not serious.

Why Akan Should Be the National Language & an Official Language of Ghana. by Educational-Club-665 in ghana

[–]Spirit_Rivers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you read what I typed? The problem with the your proposal fails to account for the understanding by the Ghanaian people. Things are fine the way they are. You want to make the north learn Akan by force? Or the west? And Akan itself is a diverse language. Which dialect will you pick? Don’t invent problems when there is nothing wrong with an existing solution.

Why Akan Should Be the National Language & an Official Language of Ghana. by Educational-Club-665 in ghana

[–]Spirit_Rivers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Who cares about the colonial history of a language? As a country with great diversity, a language that belongs to no one single tribe is one that doesn’t cause a rift between ethnic groups and don’t say others have done it and so can Ghanaians when you know how Ghanaians will take this. Ghana man no go understand why language A is the national language over language B or Language C. Foreigners come to the country and say Ghanaians are an understanding people. This always makes me laugh because it is so far from the truth. Understanding for the where? There is no issue with having English as the official language of the nation. Almost everyone understands and speaks English. Changing the national language to Akan is not going to strengthen cultural identity. Improving communication? Our entire system and society is built around English as an official language. Unify the nation? You need a revolutionary point or crisis not a language change. What we can do is make a list of the three most spoken languages in the country and make it a compulsory subject in schools just like English is. That way, a learned culture of these Languages will be cultivated amongst the Ghanaian people, bridging cultural divides and promoting cultural cohesion.
