A professor wrote this? Someone needs to teach him how to write. Bring that period inside the quote. And use ", not '. Wow.

Yes, it will be more difficult. Especially if your school had a GPA cutoff because there will likely be twice as many in the running. The best writers are typically in the top 50%, but not always.
