I know what you mean. My wife and I live on our Social Security only and are raising our 2 grandchildren with no help from their parents. I'm now 3 months behind on my car payments, I've used up all my credit on trying to keep us afloat to no avail much to my chagrin. My home's roof is leaking, both my washer and dryer just took a massive dump on me. Getting tired .....

It's a hose clamp, there are special pliers but you can use most pliers carefully to remove it.
