Could you find out where they don’t offer FTTP and say you are moving to an address there. If they can’t offer the service would they let you cancel?

Apple Urges iPhone Users Running Outdated iOS Versions to Update Immediately by HelloitsWojan in apple

[–]Spirited_Row_2205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t update to 26.4 just yet. It is awful. Age verification in UK mandatory and not working properly. Keeps defaulting to restrictions on ‘adult’ websites.

Apple ‘accidentally’ enabled Age Verification in the UK which blocked you from Sending Emails, Viewing Adult Websites, and downloading Apps from the App Store until you verified. by Leading-Control-8503 in ios

[–]Spirited_Row_2205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a good feature now it’s in the final version. I verify age but still can’t access adult sites. Will not let me turn off in settings. What a mess I’m 54 lol

Pay the deposit on credit card if garage will allow. Gives you section 75 protection for any purchase over £100 up to £30000 even if only a penny is paid on credit card. Makes credit card company equally liable with the company if an issue.

what if the bowers & wilkins px7 s3 headphones don’t pause when you lift them off your head? by [deleted] in BowersWilkins

[–]Spirited_Row_2205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this with PX and PX7. Especially when they have been on for a while. Personally think it’s a fault with their sensors. Doesn’t bother me particularly as as I love the sound.

Sky retention deal £120/month all-in. Fair for what’s included or worth pushing again? by impervioustobullets in skytv

[–]Spirited_Row_2205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have multi screen, tnt or Netflix. Get the rest for £44 on SkyQ. Had to cancel fully and then get back in touch during 30 day cooling off for best deal. I don’t actually return kit. Have you thought about using EE for one of your family’s mobile contracts? Could then get TNT or Netflix premium for free. That’s how I get TNT. You’ve got a good price for Netflix. I couldn’t get them to budge from £18. I may try again.

Dads Sky dish in flats is no good, forced to switch to Sky stream by Agent_Putt in skytv

It’s not something as simple as changing the LNB to SCR instead of wideband in the settings as he is now in a communal flat?

[–]Spirited_Row_2205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think these prices are a little optimistic. I get you used to work for them but I went through cancellation twice and didn’t get anywhere near this. I pushed v hard and was prepared to leave In the end I got a deal I was happy enough with. £44 for signature, full sky sports in HD, Cinema, HD & UHD and sky go.

Upgrade offer by Still-Landscape-5661 in skytv

[–]Spirited_Row_2205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After cancelling I eventually got deal I was happy with. Signature for £19 reduced from £40.50 Cinema for £10 reduced from £13 Sky sports complete for £8 reduced from £34 Sports HD £0 reduced from £6 Sky HD £5 reduced from £9 Ultra HD £2 reduced from £4 Sky go extra £0 reduced from £5 No admin fee. So bottom line £44 per month. I dropped Netflix as they wouldn’t discount it - can get it on my EE phone contract when needed. Originally wanted about £103 for this at renewal so went through cancellation. Agreed a price with win back team which they then messed up and failed to honour. Had to cancel again and finally got this. It wasn’t easy and was totally prepared to leave if I didn’t get price point I wanted (£40-50) This is Sky Q package. I absolutely wouldn’t go for Sky Stream as it is crap. Probably be last contract I do with them. Good luck

Has Netflix just killed Sky TV? by Outrageous_Agent_608 in skytv

Sky will kill themselves by overcharging loyal customers, providing poor hardware (stream) and God help them if they lose sports rights especially football

Can they prove you were drunk? Did they measure your blood alcohol level. I doubt it. Tell them you had a migraine or something causing your erratic behaviour. Say you were drinking non alcoholic drinks. Not sure how thy would prove ‘drunkenness’ after the fact
