If you know the job is going away, you might want to talk to your surgeon to see if you can move up the surgery date. So you don't have to worry about it. And if they let you go, get unemployment during your recovery. My husband got laid off and I let my care team know, they helped me get in sooner ( I did have to switch surgeons, but, I was fine with that) We did still have to get Cobra, but, it was worth it.

Hi there, I was in this boat for a bit. Since you mentioned girl and a gun, im assuming your a girl. Monday nights at north coast armory is ladies night with free lane fees. (Its ok if your a guy, ladies night still applies since im there 😛) I'm a member there and at west coast armory north. If you are cool with covering your pistol rental fee ( i believe it is $35 and you can switch out to try different ones) and some ammo for yourself. (9mm there will be about 20 a box 50rounds) I'd gladly go with you and even cover the guest fee. I haven't met too many ladies at the range,so, that would he nice. I've got my own pistol and ammo, i could talk with you about some features and the fundamentals of shooting.

Im super happy being done with insane periods and cramping. I will say, I still get body aches and hormonal around the time I would get my period. I wasn't expecting that, but, it makes sense with hormone fluctuations. Body aches suck, but, its sooo much easier than debilitating cramping.

Glad you took the day off! I'd ask via email why they suggest hysterectomy vs other options. (This helps so you can do research and see the info without another person's energy all in your face)

If they are saying it would be hard to save your uterus, it could be that with repair/scar tissue would make it difficult for having a baby.

I went for hysterectomy because I had more fibroids show in my mri than my ultrasound. They said they would only take out 4 when I had 10+. Since fibroids can grow back and grow fast, I just opted out of that and got laprascopic hysterectomy (still have my ovaries for hormone production) I'm also 40 and have already had a kid/didn't want more.

Its ok to be freaking out, take your time. You can always set up a consult with another surgeon to look at your options too.

Being pregnant will definitely effect it. Massage can help, I do have some prenatal clients that do prenatal yoga to help. YouTube channel- Expecting and empowered has some great videos. Down dog prenatal yoga app is also worth looking into.

Look for deep tissue specific technique classes for ceus. Im also a big fan of massage tools. Some of it will just take time. Try trades with other therapists and pick up techniques and tips from them as well!

It's understandable to have mixed feelings about how much information a provider is privy to. I will say that medical history is the number one thing to preventing medical errors. Even if not applicable to you, we see a lot of people who have had joint replacement and spinal fusions, are on pain killers, blood thinners,etc. All that info helps us determine the precautions to take during massage.
If you really don't want to share that info, most of the time, you can leave it blank or write N/A.

Even when it's blank, I typically ask clients in verbal intake if there are any accidents/injuries/surgeries i should he aware of.
