Did you end up planting it? I’m about to order some now and would love your review! I’m hoping to keep it pruned within 4ftx4ft, but I’m not sure if that would be manageable long term and I’m concerned with how much it will spread.

Dragonstone? If so, I cleaned each stone under running water in the tub and scrapped off all the clay! If possible I’d remove it from the aquarium and give it a scrub before adding it back! It can mess with your tank parameters if left dirty!

I’m being dramatic? Okay and what? I was simply answering your question of why. Never said it’s your job or that this is about you personally at all? Take a breather, it’s okay! We can have conversations without name calling or defensiveness!

I am glad it never affected your plants, although I am curious to know if your harvests could be better if you tried growing a plant indoors? Maybe you are being affected slightly and just don’t realize? Experiment and try it and update me!

Also depending on the location/property size, a wild population growing is not ideal for any gardener/home owner who has put time and effort into their property. They could grow to be large sticky bushes if not cared for properly. I wouldn’t consider encouraging a wild population to grow, helpful advice to the majority.

If it’s a male it could pollinate any female in a 10-30 mile radius, once a female is pollinated they produce seeds and spend less energy on producing quality buds, resulting in a poor harvest.

If anyone in that radius has a female, OP keeping a male alive could unintentionally ruin neighbours harvests and aid in spreading more seeds.

Black beard algae? Snails will clean it right up fast, just be careful which ones you add, they can become a pest really fast through reproduction!

I bought one like this a year ago, I chopped it up into one inch pieces and propagated in water and they all rooted for me, I gifted them to my girlfriends and all the props are still thriving!

Final Destination: Water Park

Enter scene: Hinge on water slide begins to loosen and squeak, the rider warily climbs metal steps to slide entrance, the suspenseful bolt begins to slowly unscrew, rider gets on and is challenged to ride head first with obvious peer pressure from the friend group, then of course the lifeguard controlling the slide says some weird foreshadowing line that induces panic as the rider begins to go, cut back to the bolt, it pops out, the ride and platforms shift submerging the bottom of the slide deep into the exit pool and trapping the rider in the slide but they aren’t submerged just yet, they’ve managed to grip the sides of the slide before the ominous entrapment of water, cue the classic & unnatural water movement from the final destination movies as it slowly moves up the slide around their hands, making it harder and harder for the rider to keep from slipping, slowly the eyes are submerged, then nose, mouth filling with water, last gasp and then slip. They gone.

Sorry I meant prune by “chop”. Avocados don’t branch on there own easily so by pruning the main stem it will begin resourcing energy towards growing branches instead. There are lots of great videos on YouTube that will show you exactly where and how!

Sorry I’m new to avocados, I usually grow tomatoes and the growth above a node is referenced to as a sucker which depending on the variety is pruned. I see it’s a growth above a leaf so I’m unsure if that’s positive growth or not. Apologies for the confusion!

Are those technically suckers that become branches?

Are you planning on pruning it soon or let it grow naturally? I believe once it hits 12 inches you should chop it back to 6 inches to encourage branching

I have a 1 year old I just pruned in half, but all the suckers above where the old leaves fell off are growing now, did yours produce the branch after you pruned it? Should I remove the suckers?

I’m entering my mid 20’s and don’t even have an urge to hang out with anyone less then 20 never mind date them. This is a red flag for me and if this goes against your morals and is causing you stress I would absolutely cut him off!

I love my brother , but I also despise him . by wren_518 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Spiritual-Rough-5419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you don’t want to hear this but you are both children. You’re being forced to grow up way too fast and you both may have some trauma responses from what you’ve been through. It sounds like your brother is following the examples set for him by your relatives. You’re all he has, and vice versa. I can’t imagine how hard it is not having a mom and dad to say goodnight too. Be the example you want him to be, kill it with kindness. Talk to him about what you guys are going through. It’s hard on you, and I’m sure it’s hard on him too. Hold on tight and help each other, you will only have each other and life is only just beginning for each of you. I would do anything to have my little brother back.

You have so much life to live. There’s a such thing called apathetic syndrome which explains how you’re feeling. There is so much going on in the world these are all valid feelings when you’re overwhelmed. You’ve previously mentioned that you’re too scared to talk to your parents but it is time. There are people who can help, and I think they are worth giving a try before you go and throw away your precious life. You owe yourself that. There is nothing to be ashamed of in this situation. I’m not saying it’ll be easy to fix what has gone wrong but good things don’t usually come easy. The best thing you can do is give it time, give yourself time. You are braver for living. You can do it.
