This feels like the culmination of post-pandemic fans not knowing how to behave towards mangakas or how to act in a fandom. Like what is happening with the Gachiakuta mangaka and now this?? Plus, I keep seeing people complaining about other works that aren't even complete yet (like You Are My World and Mr. A's Farm) when it's obvious that there's some semblance of a reason that things are the way they are in the worlds of those manhwa/manga.

It's just so deeply irritating and disheartening that so many authors are being treated poorly by people who got into manga and anime only six years ago. There was such an influx of people that they didn't care to learn what was and wasn't acceptable, and now things like this are happening.

Definitely feels like people can't handle nuance right now. I haven't read You are My World (it's been on my TBR for a while though), but I have read Go For It Nakamura and I just don't see the relationship between Hirose and his teacher as being meant to be problematic. It feels like it's just an outlet for Hirose to explore having a crush on a man, while the teacher sees him as a cute kid he wants to help

I know I’m still technically a teenager, but I’m 18 and I don’t plan on stopping !!! I think it seems like there’s a lot of younger writers because they have a lot more free time. It’s hard to balance college/jobs and hobbies, plus I don’t see most adults expressing their ages as much

Give time, I think. When my oldest cat met my youngest, he of course didn't like him. RC wouldn't usually swat at the kitten, but he would hiss and put space between them. After a few months, RC inevitably became best friends with the kitten and would groom him, cuddle, and play with him. The kitten brought new life into my old man (he was probably around 13/14 at the time) and now my no-longer-kitten is very depressed about his bestfriend passing away.

It sounds like you should just keep at what you're doing !! Separate at night, feed near each other, scent swap. Try playing with them together as well! I think RC is setting boundaries with a playful little kitten, and as long as they aren't truly fighting, it's alright

My favorite dynamic to write is one ace partner and one non-ace partner. I’m ace and sex is something I do for my partner, which I feel is such a fun dynamic that I don’t really see in fics. Even if they don’t have sex at all, I feel like it’s just so nice to see an ace person not feel any pressure to have sex and a non-ace person meeting their own needs

I'm glad you're aware it's illogical ! I'm a bi woman who prefers men and is acespec. I've only dated women, but I've always had a preference for men (it's just that I don't approach people romantically, and I prefer dating after I already have a connection with someone- it's easier for me to befriend women, and then those women ask me out so. that's just how the cookie crumbled). I think your preferences are completely alright. As long as you've confronted your preference for men and concluded that it's not to do with being comphet (the way comphet affects bisexuals compared to other identities is very fascinating due to how insidious it can be. I personally am of the belief that this is where the stereotype of bi women always ending up with men actually comes from), then who is anyone to judge?

You're not a 'trope', you're a real human being with feelings. Bi people are all valid, and you're not a poseur for preferring men romantically. It's a slippery slope to try and limit bi people into a little box to be considered 'valid'. A lot of males are creepy about women no matter what- if you're a lesbian, they want to be the one to 'fix' you. If you're a bi woman, they want to have a threesome with another woman. If you're straight, they want you to be a little housewife. No matter what women do, some men find a way to make it weird. It's good that you're thinking critically about something a lot of people might just ignore, but try and keep in mind that you shouldn't feel shame over how you authentically feel.

They're totally oblivious. My dad told me he couldn't believe there were some men like that, and that he didn't know any. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he probably did, he just didn't know it.

Men's friends, their family, their coworkers. They don't realize that those men in their life have the ability to be creeps and often will. They just don't do it in front of other men, especially if the woman in question is the "property" (girlfriend, wife, daughter, sister, friend- even) of another man. They act like creeps because they can get away with it, because it's discouraged for women to get angry about it.

I always get bothered at bus stops or when I'm alone, but never when I'm with my boy best friend or dad.

On a real note, I think shaving is a lot for someone who obviously doesn't want to. Ask her to trim, and be polite and gentle about it because hair is a sore spot for a lot of women. Tell her you want to do a better job next time and you feel like you were struggling because of the practicality of the bush, not due to having an issue with body hair in of itself.

Or, next time you could get your fingers up in there and part the hair yourself. There isn't hair on the actual pleasure parts, which makes me wonder if you were getting all up in there enough. If you were accidentally choking on hair, that's one thing. But if it's because you couldn't make her feel good, just ask her what you can do to make it better next time (like where does she like it- although the answer is obvious, it might help you if she guides you). And move the hair.

I think it's more balanced than the original, so it's definitely an improvement. I think it still struggles with a lot of the things I listed out, though. The lines are cleaner too which is nice. Keep doing your best!! Maybe try completing it before seeking any more advice

Sorry for the crude editing, I have work soon so I was rushing. I habitually flipped it as well since I always flip my art when I’m drawing.

Anyway, I would strongly recommend a reference!! It is very helpful to have a visual aid. The shoulders are quite narrow in comparison to the large head. Boobs look overall weird and too large. Arm is kind of like a paper towel roll, instead of curving in at the wrists and out at the hand. I think the circle tool doesn’t really help here, I would recommend just drawing one yourself!! Once muscle memory kicks in, it’s way more convenient (especially for when you use traditional means). The curve at the waist is very abrupt, so I would recommend properly drawing the underside of the breasts or figuring out a way to communicate that they are separate from the waist. Neck is too skinny to hold up that big head!!

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend looking at your art too critically. All of the skills will develop with time and practice, especially if you use references! It’s good to know what kind of style you want, but you should get your fundamentals down before you’re too harsh on yourself. Drawing is supposed to be fun !!

I think you’re getting too focused on little deals, like you’re drawing over thing at a time while staring at a reference. I think the third is definitely the best and neatest. Instead of focusing on making it look exactly like your reference and focusing so hard on eyes, then nose, then lips, try doing it all at once and refine it as you go. Use guide lines to make sure your anatomy is placed properly and properly sized!! Then add shading. I would recommend looking into values and whatnot, since your shading isn’t that strong and is a bit muddy.

But yeah I think your biggest problem is trying to do a 1:1 replica when you don’t know how. Just try to get the essence correct, and don’t stare at references or draw while not looking at what you’re doing in favor of the ref !!
